Experience

Chris joined UBS in 2020 following a 14-year career at Bernstein, where he built one of the most successful practices on the west coast.  He focuses on advising business owners, family offices, General Partners at investment funds and professional athletes. He is part of UBS’ Athlete and Entertainer Consultant group, a designation awarded to a select number of advisors to provide advice to the firm’s most important professional athletes and entertainers.

Prior to his investment management career , Chris founded and led to exit multiple venture-backed companies. He was the Founder and CEO of Downplay, Inc., a leading mobile media and application provider, and CEO of Dyad Security Corp, a cyber security company. Chris is a 2023 BYU Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee, NCAA National Champion, and a former professional volleyball player. He is also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, a five-time Ironman, and 2013 Ironman All-World Athlete. Chris holds a BS in Social Psychology from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Quantitative Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris enjoys coaching youth sports, golf, skiing and family outdoor activities at their second home in Utah.  He currently resides in coastal San Clemente, CA with his wife Jill of 27 years, and their four children.

Reid is a Financial Advisor in Private Wealth Management at UBS.  Prior to joining UBS in 2021, Mr. Chase was an Associate at J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he was integral in the development of the Los Angeles office’s closely held business group working on several of the largest transactions in firm history.  As the highest ranked analyst in the franchise, Reid focused on advising clients across a wide range of complex strategies including pre-transaction planning, capital allocation, portfolio construction, tax and estate planning, as well as banking and credit solutions. Reid is a graduate of Stanford University with a BA in Economics; Finance concentration, where he was a scholarship athlete on the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Water Polo Team.

Sam started her career with UBS in New York City as a Client Service Associate for one of the most successful private wealth management teams in the industry. Sam has a consistent track record of exceptional service for some of the most sophisticated clients in the world.

After relocating back to her hometown of Encinitas in 2020, Sam joined The Pitzak Group as the Team Business Manager to assist with the team’s essential managerial functions. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wagner College with a BS in Finance & Business Administration, where she was the recipient of both academic and athletic scholarships and team Captain of the Division 1 Women’s tennis team. She enjoys competitive bodybuilding, coaching tennis and cooking in her free time.

Samantha Hodges holds FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66 securities licenses

Tara’s has extensive experience in the financial services industry beginning in New York City and spanning both coasts. Her expertise and focus includes exceptional client service, financial planning, portfolio construction and analysis for sophisticated clients. She grew up on the East Coast and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts. Tara and her husband Ryan reside in Cardiff-by-the-Sea with their five children. She appreciates quality time with her family at the beach and skiing in the mountains. Tara is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor and is Series 7, 6, 63 and 65 licensed.   

Emi is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, and graduated Cum Laude from Pepperdine University in May of 2026 with a degree in Business Administration. During her time at Pepperdine, she was a Division I beach volleyball student-athlete, earning All-Conference and All-Academic honors.

Emi has passed her SIE and is currently studying for her Series 7.

Outside of work, Emi enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and traveling with family and friends. She is committed to supporting her team and delivering exceptional service to clients.
