As a young engineer, Alex found himself responsible for managing his family’s finances, including inherited investments and real estate. His experience working with financial professionals who failed to meet his family’s needs became a turning point for Alex. He decided to formalize his wealth management knowledge and provide better solutions for multigenerational families.
Today, as a founder of The Legacy Group, he works directly with clients to identify their needs, which often involve the transfer of wealth accumulated over a lifetime. Taking into account their comfort with risk, he develops and implements strategies that give clients confidence in achieving their goals.
Alex and his team take extreme care to listen closely. “Only by asking the right questions—even the uncomfortable ones—can we clearly understand each client’s principles, values, concerns and desires, which guide our recommendations and observations,” says Alex. “By knowing what they want, need and expect, we make their well-being, as they see it, our priority.”
Alex lives in Anchorage with his wife, Karla. They have two grown children, Erik and Katja.
He enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and mountaineering—often on the trails in Alaska, though he has climbed mountains on four continents.
Alex is a supporter of associations involved in Nordic skiing and the building and maintenance of trails. He’s even sponsored Nordic athletes competing on national and international stages—including the Olympics.
Levi often tells his clients, “If it’s important to you, then it’s important to us.” He enjoys learning about how each of his clients achieve success—as they define it—and gaining a clear understanding of their principles and values. As a founder of The Legacy Group, Levi takes a long-term view of his client relationships. He has more than 16 years of experience serving the wealth management needs of multigenerational families.
Realizing its importance, Levi started focusing on financial planning early in his career. He became a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional in 2007 and developed a family office planning approach to best serve families through multiple generations. He considers himself an extension of the families he serves and the ability to do so a privilege.
Levi lives in Anchorage with his wife, Blair; their three children, Brance, Adaire and Twyla; and their dog, Finn.
They spend many winter days on skis and many summer days on the lake or taking trips to the remote cabins of Alaska via their float plane.
