Miles began his investment career in 1981, and his vast range of experience has taken him from Chicago's Midwestern Options desk to New York's Wall Street trading floor. At the American Stock Exchange, he worked in options arbitrage and with the specialist in the XMI Index, where he was responsible for managing the risk in multimillion-dollar options positions. In 1988, he began as a financial consultant at Drexel Burnham Lambert and soon after was recruited by Smith Barney. He joined UBS predecessor firm Kidder, Peabody in 1994 and two years later co-founded The Rosegarten/Rubin Financial Group.
Throughout his career, Miles has been known for his integrity and hard work. At UBS, his reputation and the success of his practice led to his becoming a member of the firm's President's Council. He has been a repeat guest on the WVOX radio network in Westchester handling different investment topics on "The Westchester Forum" program. Located at the New York City Park Avenue branch, Miles achieved the title of Senior Portfolio Manager and Chartered Retirement Planning Specialist ™ designation.
Miles graduated from Tufts University in 1981 with a B.A. in history. An accomplished drummer, Miles uses his musical talent to raise money for a variety of philanthropic organizations through live performances. He is also an avid swimmer and helps fundraising for cancer research and multiple sclerosis research in two different events: a three- and four-miles open-water swim across the Hudson River and the Long Island Sound. He also serves on the advisory board of Caron New York Recovery Center. A member of the Bonnie Briar Country Club, Miles achieved a personal milestone when he became club champion in 1999. He resides in Scarsdale, NY, with his wife, Susie, and their three children, Lizzie, Charlie and Avery.
David began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York City and two years later transitioned to Smith Barney, where he rose to vice president and associate manager of one of the most successful offices in the country. Throughout his six-year tenure at Smith Barney, David was elected to the Regional Directors Council and graduated from the firm's Management Development Program, serving as a regular public speaker for the firm's various training programs. Recruited by UBS in 1994, he co-founded The Rosegarten/Rubin Financial Group.
At UBS, David has been responsible for many successful client relationships with some of the country's most prominent executives, business owners, corporations, not-for-profit organizations and foundations. He has built his reputation by providing total portfolio planning with an expertise in long-term asset growth, fixed income strategy, retirement planning and asset allocation. A recipient of many professional recognition awards and public speaking invitations, David is currently a member of The UBS President's Council and recently completed his CDFA® designation.
David graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in finance and banking. David serves as the president of the board of trustees for The Lifeline Center of Child Development in New York and has sat on the board of directors and has served as the treasurer to the 99th Riverside Housing Corporation. David sits on the audit committee for the American Council on Exercise. He is an active leader for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation and a divisional coordinator for the Manhattan Soccer Club. David was Sloan-Kettering Cancer Hospital's largest individual fundraiser via the New York City Marathon. He chairs an effort each year to raise funds for holiday toys for sick children living in hospitals and shelters in NY. He and his wife, Tara, along with their two daughters, Madison and Olivia, reside on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Ioanna joined The Rosegarten/Rubin Financial Group in May 2015 and now serves an important administrative and research role, executing banking services and compiling performance. She has earned her Series 7 and 66 licenses and is a Notary Public Official. Her extensive knowledge in operations and client services stems from her career at Citibank. She has more than five years experience in the financial services industry with outstanding organizational, analytical and project management skills. She has a demonstrated track of problem solving and a strong ability to use discretion when handling sensitive information. She graduated Cum Laude from Hunter College in 2008 where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Jennifer oversees client administration for The Rosegarten/Rubin Financial Group. She has earned her Series 7 and 66 licenses. Jennifer has more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry. Jennifer provides administrative support to clients by assisting them with a variety of financial transactions, including lending, mortgages, trading and account maintenance. Her priority is to establish client relationships built on trust, loyalty and dedication and to help ensure that clients are always connected to their financial information both online and in person.
Victoria, joined UBS as a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate. She has over 14 years of wealth management industry experience. She spent her years at Bernstein Global Wealth Management & Barclays Wealth Management in a number of client support and interface roles with increasing responsibility. She began her career in Finance at Morgan Stanley while working towards her graduate degree. She is a licensed representative (series 7, 3, 63 and 65) and she also has her insurance license. Victoria earned both a B.S. in Engineering Management Systems and a Master’s Degree in Operations Research from Columbia University.
