Sheldon Ray and Asif Bhally have been portfolio managers for decades, applying their global perspective to their separate, complementary investment strategies that they personally build. Their value-based strategy is designed to create a higher than average income stream, achieve capital appreciation and protect clients against equity market downside. Their growth-based strategy is focused primarily on US equity capital appreciation, with a fixed income component to mitigate risk. Their clients’ financial assets are aligned with their personal assets and they manage client funds in a fiduciary capacity.

                      A global focus

In today’s financial environment, we believe it’s a must to be globally invested. It’s a belief we not only preach, but practice on a daily basis.

                      Experienced, hands-on money managers

Our team applies over 70 years of combined experience in the financial services industry, selecting individual securities to build our unique portfolios. We do not use the following financial products in our portfolio strategies: including open-end mutual funds, alternative investments and insurance in our managed portfolios.

                      A dynamic investment selection process

Our dynamic process employs macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis that leads to sector selection and individual opportunities. We invest our personal money alongside our clients.

                      Risk-managed returns

We always strive for good returns without taking undue risk, and to provide a better dividend yield than the S&P 500 index.

Discretionary portfolio managers who put clients first

As discretionary portfolio managers, we have always acted in a fiduciary manner, putting our clients first.

                      Total transparency

Our clients enjoy complete transparency and open access to our team.

                      Comfortable client relationships

The client-advisor fit is incredibly important to us – it has to feel comfortable and be the right fit. It’s why we seek to develop relationships on each client’s terms.

                      We are fee-based

Clients pay a quarterly fee for our services, with no trading commissions, and our compensation is directly tied to our clients’ performance

In a fee-based account clients pay a quarterly fee, based on the level of assets in the account, for the services of a financial advisor as part of an advisory relationship. In deciding to pay a fee rather than commissions, clients should understand that the fee may be higher than a commission alternative during periods of lower trading. Advisory fees are in addition to the internal expenses charged by mutual funds and other investment company securities. To the extent that clients intend to hold these securities, the internal expenses should be included when evaluating the costs of a fee-based account. Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm's Form ADV Part 2A as well as the client agreement.

As value-based investors, we strive to take full advantage of opportunistic events and misperceptions in the marketplace. We look for equities with strong fundamentals such as earnings, dividends, book value and cash flow that are selling at a favorable price given their quality. Overall portfolio income stream is extremely important to us.

We employ macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis to help us identify favorable sectors and, ultimately, individual investment opportunities. While the location of a company’s headquarters is a consideration, the more important role geography plays is in assessing a company’s sources of revenue streams and the economic prospects of those countries and customers.

                      Balanced strategy characteristics

Generally, our balanced strategy asset allocation is approximately 65% equity and 35% fixed income. Fixed income consists of short- to medium-term corporate bonds and preferred shares. However, we may adjust the allocation between fixed income and equity securities to suit the needs of each individual client.

Companies incorporated in the strategy are headquartered in developed markets: U.S., U.K., Europe, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada

We look to include companies with a credit quality of investment grade, with rare exceptions.

Corporate governance: Invested in jurisdictions/countries with higher degrees of transparency and reliable accounting standards; avoidance of companies with questionable or aggressive accounting tactics

Minimal exposure to NASDAQ, biotechnology and retailer shares

Yield is a key component to our investment strategy. Our goal is to exceed the S&P 500 Index yield.
