For more than 30 years, I have emphasized the value of a process-driven planning approach in collaboration with clients’ other professional advisors to help coordinate all facets of their financial lives. I am committed to making a positive difference for my clients and help them make personal and financial decisions across the many stages of their lives.
What makes me knowledgeable
I graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. My specialized credentials include the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation, the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® certification through the Exit Planning Institute., and the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Investments and Wealth Institute. I joined UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2013 after 25 years at Merrill Lynch.
Getting to know me
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife Aimee and children Hailey, Grayson, and Hudson. We reside in Corona Del Mar where I enjoy staying in shape by running, working out at the gym, and playing the occasional round of golf. We are fans of the Los Angeles Angels and enjoy vacation travel in our Airstream van.
I am also very committed to philanthropy and community. My focus includes supporting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) each year, and the Harbor View Dads nonprofit which benefits the elementary school where my three children attend. My business partner, Jim, and I are also fulfilling a personal goal together by sponsoring a scholarship fund for deserving low-income students who are attending their former high school, Tustin High.

I earned a B.S. in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Prior to working in the Wealth Management business, I worked in the audit, tax and consulting divisions at KPMG Peat Marwick and earned his CPA Certificate. In addition, I completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation from the CFP® board and the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® through the Exit Planning Institute.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, Deborah, my three children Mychela, Dominic and Gabby, and grandchildren Gianna and Vincent. My family and I reside in Dana Point where I stay in shape by working out at the gym and taking long walks, mainly at the golf course. I am committed to children's charities, including a specific emphasis to Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation based in Orange County.

I have guided clients through times of prosperity and uncertainty, and thoughtfully integrate our high-quality capabilities in ways that make sense and are relevant to each client's objectives.

Carina graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. She joined the Porter Axelson Group upon graduation in 2011. In her current role, Carina is responsible for financial planning, portfolio reviews, performance reporting, and investment research. When not in the office, Carina enjoys spending time with her husband and her large extended family, trying new foods, and traveling.
Tracy has a wide range of experience including sales and marketing, business financial services and mortgage and lending services. In her current role, Tracy is responsible for account operations and client relations for the Porter Axelson Bremner Group. Tracy enjoys going on motorcycle rides with her husband and spending time with their two German Shepherds, Max and Stella.
Gretchen joined UBS in 2004 as a Client Service Associate and has since been promoted to Senior Registered Client Service Associate and currently holds Series 7 and 66 Securities Licenses. Gretchen's background includes administration, operations and marketing and she strives to make the client experience a smooth and pleasant journey. Gretchen began her career in the financial industry in 2000 in Overland Park Kansas then moved back to Orange County where she enjoys sports, travel, music and spending time with her nephews. Gretchen graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Judy joined UBS in 2014, prior to joining UBS, she spent 30 years at Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Judy worked at EF Hutton for 4 years. She holds her Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses. Judy has over 37 years of administrative and operational experience. Judy enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, 2 dogs, Lucky (German Shepherd) and Mandy (Havanese Poodle Mix). She also enjoys golf, cooking, dining out, and attending estate sales.
Victor is a Registered Client Service Associate with the Porter Axelson Bremner Group in Newport Beach, California. He has been with UBS since 2017 and held a previous internship experience with the team. Victor graduated with a BA degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and currently holds Series 7 and 66 Securities Licenses. A resident of Newport Beach, in his free time he enjoys sports.
