Seeking to work more directly with clients, Amy moved into the position of Team Associate, and then on to Team Administrator. Before joining UBS, Tom served on active duty, 10 years, in the US Navy as a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) in the F/A-18F Super Hornet and as an Associate Professor of Naval Science at Norfolk State University and Hampton Roads University. This background brings a divergent approach to client service, investing, risk management and financial planning.

Prior to joining the Peterson Group, Tom was a Wealth Planning Associate at UBS for five years. In this role, he supported Financial Advisors and their clients all around the US, specializing in financial planning while simultaneously earning multiple designations. He enjoys getting to know each client’s Needs, Wants, and Wishes to develop a tailored financial plan that matches the individual’s dynamic lifestyle and goals. Tom believes in being proactive, not reactive.

Tom specializes in building financial plans that encompass retirement planning, corporate stock options, selling of a business, legacy planning, and philanthropy.

After separating from active duty, Tom is now a Navy Reservist, participating in military exercises all over the world. Through the constant pursuit of servant leadership Tom strives to present our clients with keen insights and opportunities to make their dreams a reality.
