Experience

Jim joined UBS in 2008 after having spent the previous 11 years at another major financial services firm.  An Accredited Wealth Management Advisor and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, Jim holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and a master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  He also has Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as Texas life insurance and annuity licenses. 

Active members of the community and their church, Jim and his wife, Betty, have lived in the Tyler area for more than 40 years.  They have two children, Katie and Chris, a daughter-in-law Emily, and three grandchildren, Cole, Caroline, and Olivia.  Their family enjoys spending time together raising and riding Tennessee Walking horses, hunting and "living life on the farm." 

Katie joined UBS in 2016 after having spent the previous five years at another financial services firm.  Katie holds a double major in Finance and Management from Baylor University. She also has her Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as Texas life insurance and annuity licenses.  In addition to offering financial planning and retirement advice, Katie is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, which better prepares her to customize client's financial plans to fit all of life's unexpected circumstances.

Katie returned home to Tyler after earning her degree from Baylor and living in the Fort Worth area working at her previous firm.  She loves spending time with her nephew and two nieces, Cole, Caroline, and Olivia.  She also enjoys spending time training with her dog, Baylor.  Katie is a member of the Baylor Women's Network Tyler Chapter, the Junior League of Tyler, and Dayspring Methodist Church.

MaLon has been in the brokerage industry since 1998, bringing years of expertise and a client focused approach to her work. MaLon holds Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses, showcasing her knowledge and professionalism in the field. MaLon is passionate about fostering positive connections and maintaining a professional standard of excellence in everything she does. 

Outside of work, MaLon enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, being actively involved in her church and cherishing moments with family and friends and her beloved and very large Cane Corso.
