The Head and the Heart: A Conversation on Thriving

What do the head and the heart have in common? They are constantly working for
us, even when we sleep. And over the last 24 months, we (women especially) have
been working overtime. We’ve been educators, professionals, caretakers, advocates—
but how often were those efforts focused inward?
Join us on Thursday, March 31 as we close out Women’s History month with a panel
discussion featuring Thrive CEO and Author Arianna Huffington and Cardiologist,
Author and Women’s Wellness advocate Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum.
These Trailblazers have spent their careers advocating for women’s health and mental
wellbeing. Thrive is a behavioral change company that leads with a mission to shift
the way we work and live. Thrive is determined to end the collective delusion that
burnout is the price we must pay for success. The American Heart Association’s Go Red
for Women movement and Heart-Tech Health are both committed to helping women
take charge of their own heart health as well as the health of those they can’t bear to
live without. In short, women have not been getting the care they deserve or need.
Nicole Press, UBS East Division Sales Manager will moderate this conversation which
will focus on identifying our own needs, the importance of advocating for ourselves
and recognizing the signs of heart disease and other health issues that have the
potential to derail our well-being, decision-making, creativity and productivity.

Assessing the Cyber Threat: A client conversation with CISA's Jen Easterly

While the war in Ukraine is being fought over 5,000 miles away, the US continues to prepare for potential cyberattacks on critical infrastructure. To help make sense of this cyber threat and how to protect against it, our Chief Investment Office is hosting a special client conversation on Wednesday, April 6, at 11 AM ET. Solita Marcelli, Chief Investment Officer Americas, will be joined by guest, Jen Easterly, Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

      More on Director Easterly

Jen Easterly is the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As Director, Ms. Easterly leads CISA’s efforts to understand, manage, and reduce risk to the cyber and physical infrastructure Americans rely on every day. A two-time recipient of the Bronze Star, Ms. Easterly retired from the U.S. Army after more than twenty years of service in intelligence and cyber operations, including tours of duty in Haiti, the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Responsible for standing up the Army’s first cyber battalion, Ms. Easterly was also instrumental in the design and creation of United States Cyber Command. Read her full bio.

Will inflation derail my retirement plan?

Many individuals share a core concern about running out of money during retirement. And, with inflation in the headlines, households may question the viability of their retirement plan. Elevated inflation over the next couple of years may require individuals to plan to have slightly more investment assets to support their retirement. Alternatively, current retirees may need to adjust their annual spending to stay on track for financial success if they are withdrawing near the maximum their allocations could support.
