Robin joined UBS as a partner over 16 years ago after a career in the technology sector. He began his career at EMC in 1990, rising to the ranks of Corporate Officer and Vice President of Europe and the Middle East. Robin left EMC in 2005. Shortly after, he decided to pursue his passion for investing, ultimately transitioning from client to Private Wealth Advisor.
As a former client, Robin brings a rare perspective, aligning team strategy with client priorities and investment planning. He has broad experience in investment research and management, with a particular focus on alternative investments. Robin oversees the strategic asset allocation process for client portfolios, while also collaborating with the investment team on research analysis and manager due diligence.
Robin has been involved in numerous charitable endeavors through the years and is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester, MA. He has dedicated countless training and fundraising hours to Haymakers for Hope, benefiting Dana-Farber and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Robin also served as Finance Chairman to U.S. Senator Scott Brown from 2010-2012. He is an alumnus of Boston College's Carroll School of Management, where he was a four-year starter on the Varsity Hockey Team.
Robin currently splits his time between the Back Bay in Boston, MA and Palmetto Bluffs, SC with his wife, Sue.
John joined UBS in 2016 after a career in campaign finance, strategy, and budget operations. John brings a unique dynamic to the team, supporting clients with a wide variety of advisory needs. He is focused on assisting clients with long term planning, M&A liquidity solutions, and navigating the vast resources of the firm, including the UBS Family Office Solutions Group.
Previously, John was appointed by the White House office of Presidential Personnel to serve at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Pentagon (DOD), ending his Federal service as a Senior Advisor and Director at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). John’s government portfolio included work on the National Defense Authorization Act, as well as domestic and international programs dedicated to the remediation of Nuclear Weapons testing and clean-up sites. John received the DOE's distinguished career service award for his work with the Republic of the Marshall Islands, a former U.S. territory and testing site.
Before and after his time in the Federal Government, John served as chief financial strategist and budget manager for major campaigns. He is honored to have had a U.S. President, a U.S. Senator, and the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as former employers. Just prior to joining UBS, he served as Senior Advisor and Finance Chairman to Governor Charlie Baker, and was President of the Baker-Polito Transition Committee.
John has also worked in a family business affiliated with Cedar Works Playsets. He supports a number of non-profit fundraising events, primarily focused on urban youth academic and sports programs, as well as addiction services organizations. He serves on the Boards of Directors for THE BASE in Roxbury, RIZE Massachusetts, and Gosnold Behavioral Health on Cape Cod.
John graduated from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and resides in Wayland, MA with his wife and three sons. He holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Alex joined UBS in 2018 as an advisor within Private Wealth Management, where he works with private equity & investment professionals, business owners, and family offices. Alex has a strong background in institutional investment, which he leverages in developing thoughtful solutions, aligned with client investment & planning objectives. His specialties include: overseeing client portfolio construction & alternative investment programs, pre & post-transaction planning, tailored lending strategies, and wealth transfer.
Prior to joining UBS, Alex was a Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments, a UK asset manager, where he partnered with large institutional investors on implementing alternative & hedge fund strategies. Previously, Alex worked at Cambridge Associates (CA), a leading investment consulting firm to institutional clientele, including Family Offices, Endowments & Foundations, and pensions. While at CA, he worked within their Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) group, advising on portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment manager due diligence.
Alex received a B.A. in Economics from Hamilton College, where he played on the Varsity Football team.
Outside of his work at UBS, Alex lives in the Back Bay with his wife, Christina, and his two daughters. He enjoys the winters skiing at Cannon Mountain, and spending summers with his family in Kennebunkport, ME and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Brynna joined UBS Private Wealth Management in 2016 and has since held various client service and operational roles throughout the firm. She brings a background well-versed in addressing the complex wealth advisory and planning challenges of high-net-worth individuals and families, and takes a thoughtful approach to understanding our clients’ needs and goals. Brynna focuses on coordinating comprehensive estate planning solutions, often in collaboration with client's Trust & Estate attorneys and CPA's, to ensure that their current plan is consistent with their goals and desired legacy.
As an active Steering Committee Member of UBS All Bar None (ABN) Greater Boston Chapter, Brynna is passionate about promoting the education, engagement, and empowerment of women within the firm.
Brynna earned her B.S. from Fairfield University in Political Science, English Literature & Cultural Studies.
Additionally, she holds her Series 7 and 66 security licenses.
Brynna resides in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, MA. Outside of work, she is an enthusiastic supporter of her high school, Notre Dame Academy, alumni association and enjoys skiing, East Coast beaches, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Scott brings a unique blend of investment and operational skills in support of delivering a holistic wealth solution to our clients. His focus areas include: relationship management and business development, overseeing advisory solutions and trade execution, conducting market research, and the preparation of support material and performance reports for client reviews.
Prior to joining UBS, Scott was a Senior Analyst at Vestmark Inc., a technology partner of the firm. There, he was responsible for the implementation of portfolio changes across multi-asset strategies. Previously, Scott worked as a Vice President at Mainstone Capital Management, a subsidiary of 42 North Private Bank (formerly Ethic, a Wealth Bank). As part of a restructure, Scott was instrumental in supporting the launch of the Bank's Wealth Management practice with a focus on developing and curating client solutions. He began his career as an Analyst with the Clemson University Endowment.
Scott received a Master’s in Finance from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Clemson University. Additionally, he holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
Outside of work, Scott is engaged in the community as an active volunteer, currently serving as a Committee Member for the Greater Boston Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Scott is also an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hiking, fishing, scuba diving, and snowboarding.
Scott currently resides in Boston’s historic North End with his girlfriend. He grew up in Winchester, MA.
Caitlyn joined the team in 2019. As a Client Services Associate, Caitlyn enhances the client experience through interaction and problem solving. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, administrative support, engaging with families, and managing team priorities. In addition, Caitlyn is a key resource for our trust & estate and tax partners. Caitlyn has proven time and again over the years her strengths and organizational skills in support of team oriented goals.
Outside of the office, Caitlyn enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, traveling to new places, and relaxing in Cape Cod.
Caitlyn currently resides in Newton, MA. She received a B.S. from Coastal Carolina University.
