Brian left a career in education to join the securities industry in 2001 and founded Mariash Lowther Wealth Management in 2008. His personal mission to Educate, Connect, and Contribute has become the mission of the team. Brian holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation (CIMA®), administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute) and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School of Business. Brian also has his Accredited Asset Management Specialist™, AAMS™® designation recognized by The College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp.
Brian was named to Forbes “Best-In-State Wealth Advisors” list in 2023 for the sixth consecutive year. Brian is active in many local community efforts including having served on the boards of the Child Protection Center of Sarasota and the Jewish Family and Children Services. Brian is also a 2019 recipient of Merrill Lynch's David Brady Community Service Award. He is the proud father of three children (Anthony, Zachary, and Alexis), grandfather to Everly, and resides in downtown Sarasota.
James Barton Lowther began his financial services career in 2010 after graduating from Tulane University. As a Senior Financial Advisor, Bart has assisted clients by managing their individual wealth through multiple and complex market cycles in accordance with their individual needs. Bart is a frequent and sought after speaker on investment planning for retirement which has been a primary business focus for Bart and his team for decades. Bart focuses on delivering a comprehensive approach to managing wealth that begins with listening to a client's needs and helps to ensure every strategy is grounded in understanding what each client wants to achieve.
Jesse Perez started in the financial services industry in 2011 and joined Mariash Lowther Wealth Management in 2015. As a Financial Advisor, Jesse has assisted clients by helping them realize and achieve their financial goals. Jesse’s primary focus is to work with his clients to put together a wealth management plan that will help them navigate complex markets and achieve their financial objectives. Jesse is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and also holds a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation, issued by the College for Financial Planning. Jesse lives in Sarasota, FL with his wife Kaitlyn, their two sons Cameron and Casey, and dog, Ivy.
Shannon Murphy has enjoyed working in various roles within the financial services industry since 2010. After relocating to Florida in 2020, Shannon joined Mariash Lowther Wealth Management supporting the teams marketing efforts and working closely with Brian to help run the MLWM business development process. Shannon takes great pride in her ability to provide exceptional client service and help simplify the complex financial lives of her clients. Prior to moving from Pittsburgh, Shannon worked at a competitor firms for 10 years in retail branches and Private Wealth Management. As a Client Solutions Supervisor, she supported high performing relationship managers while also being the supervisor of the team’s thirteen Client Associates.
Shannon graduated from Duquesne University with a BS in Marketing. During her time as a Duke, Shannon served as the Events Chair for the American Marketing Association and organized various events for the group. Shannon lives in West Bradenton with her husband, Dan, their 7 year old son, Liam, and rescue dog, Millie. They love being on the water, making sushi and woodfired pizzas, and game nights.
Aly Henderson joined Mariash Lowther Wealth Management in 2023 after 8 years as a senior consumer and business banker where she specialized in private banking and international cross-border banking and lending. Efficient and organized, Aly is committed to providing meaningful and comprehensive service to clients to simplify their lives and facilitate the achievement of their financial goals. Aly is originally from Lexington, KY where she attended Eastern Kentucky University and majored in Psychology. She also has many years of experience in the tax industry where she taught beginner tax classes. Aly and her husband Keaton and their son, Noah, moved to Florida two years ago. In her spare time she enjoys music, art, and travel.
Dionysios Skaliotis joined Mariash Lowther Wealth Management in 2021 after relocating from Newport, Rhode Island. As a Business Development Specialist, Dionysios designs and implements growth strategies for the team, while continuing to deepen new and existing client relationships. Dionysios focuses on aligning the skillsets of Mariash Lowther Wealth Management with the needs of individuals and families to help them accomplish their financial goals. Dionysios has his Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation recognized by The College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp. He lives in Sarasota, FL with his rescue dog, Nala, and enjoys spending time working on his short game and at the beach.
Sovanna Sok launched his financial services career in February of 2007 as a Service Operations Associate and joined Mariash Lowther Wealth Management in November of 2022. He graduated with his Bachelor's in Finance from University of South Florida in December of 2016. With his many years of experience in the industry, Sovanna focuses on providing the best service to his clients and operational excellence. In his spare time, he is an enthusiastic chef in Cambodia and Thai cuisine. As a foodie, he also loves traveling and experiencing new culinary taste and cooking techniques.
