Michael Shoaf

Vice President–Wealth Management

Financial Advisor

My work focuses upon the integration of personal and corporate wealth management. I’ve especially constructed a wealth advising practice to serve the unique needs of private and family business owners. My team possesses a deep knowledge of tax-advantaged ESOP sales, comprehensive business succession, exit and contingency planning, as well as how to structure key employee incentives.

I joined UBS in 2018 with over 27 years of very broad experiences in the financial services industry. Highlights include working with corporate investors at Fidelity Investments and private clients at Charles Schwab & Co. Most recently, I owned my own business, a wealth consulting firm advising family’s philanthropic interests. During this time, I gleaned rare insights into the transcendent "spiritual" aspects of wealth. I know all of my highly varied professional experiences give a much deeper meaning to my wealth advising work, and ultimately, are in full support of your best well-lived life (the "good life").

“Fun facts” about me include being a Pastor of two small churches during most of my working career (no longer) and having an Uncle who played and coached in the NBA for 15 years! My personal interests include making connections between faith, work and life, spending time with family and friends, curling up with a good book, watching a great movie, taking a peaceful nap, hanging over outstanding coffee, and getting outdoors to enjoy creation.
