Rob Meenan brings an analytical, consultative approach to wealth management in his position as a Managing Director with the Meenan Yedid Group. Rob works closely with his clients to formulate sophisticated, solution-based financial plans that are custom tailored to preserving and growing earned affluence. In addition to his expertise in portfolio construction, Rob’s background in consulting means that he is committed to developing and maintaining relationships with his clients in order to have an intimate understanding of their financial goals.
Rob has a unique expertise catering to finance professionals and corporate executives with concentrated holdings accumulated in both private and public assets. His team works with an exclusive group of successful families to thoughtfully address their objectives. Rob brings a high level of insight and experience to navigating complex financial situations and offers comprehensive, practical solutions. Backed by the world's leading wealth management firm, Rob’s team is constantly researching global capital markets and timely strategies in order to achieve the best investment outcome.
Prior to joining UBS in June of 2015, Rob worked as a Wealth Manager at Barclays and Merrill Lynch. Rob started his career at SMC Corporation, where he led a consulting team specializing in the medical and semiconductor industries. The focus on lasting relationships and sharp attention to detail that helped him succeed in that role still informs his decisions as a Wealth Manager today.
Rob is originally from the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York and is a graduate of Clarkson University. He now lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children. Rob is committed to education and is involved with No Greater Sacrifice, an organization that provides scholarships to children of fallen and injured military service members. Rob also enjoys traveling and cooking with his family.
Senior Portfolio Manager Shlomi Yedid takes a broad-based and holistic approach to wealth management as he helps individuals and families achieve their long-term financial goals. Shlomi believes that proper wealth planning is critical to both successful individual outcomes as well as for the efficient transfer of wealth to future generations. He works closely with his clients' tax and estate planning advisors to provide outstanding personalized service as well as collaborative solutions. Shlomi uses his extensive experience in the financial industry and his deep knowledge of the capital markets to uniquely benefit his clients.
Shlomi’s team caters to finance executives, CEOs and entrepreneurs. The team services a select number of clients in order to give highly individualized attention to particular needs, ranging from the formation of a detailed financial family plan focused on multigenerational wealth transfer and legacy aspirations, to the building of a tailored portfolio for bankers acutely aware of market risk, to helping entrepreneurs plan effectively for an exit strategy or to obtain financing. With each client, Shlomi and his team focus on establishing a long-term, lasting relationship built on trust.
Shlomi is Israeli-born and fluent in Hebrew. His team is accredited in Israel, and he travels there several times a year to visit clients. He earned his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Shlomi worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers and as an Investment Banker at Societe Generale prior to moving into wealth management at Merrill Lynch and later at Barclays. He joined UBS as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Vice President of Wealth Management in June of 2015. Shlomi lives in Westchester, New York with his wife and two children. He is an avid tennis player, and was top ranked in the juniors.
James launched his career in 2006 at Merrill Lynch. In 2009, James, along with his team, transitioned to UBS and he subsequently joined the Meenan Yedid Group in 2016.
James assists in analyzing portfolios and developing investment solutions tailored to clients' individual portfolios ensuring it aligns with their financial goals. This process includes reviewing retirement planning, custom asset allocation, and investment management. In addition, James oversees the team's advisory trading platform for equities, fixed income, exchange traded funds, and options. James is committed to providing clients with a world class experience and remains engaged with clients and their changing needs.
James graduated from Loyola University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degreee in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. James resides on Long Island where he volunteers in his community couching youth basketball. Outside of the office he also enjoys spending time with family and friends and travelling to new cities to enjoy live music.
Alex rejoined the Meenan Yedid Group in 2021 after spending three years at Merrill Lynch as an Investment Analyst. His thirteen years in Wealth Management helped develop a fluency with a breadth of intricate products and services, ranging from alternative investments and structured products to portfolio construction and estate planning. In additional to shepherding all operation aspects of the practice, Alex plays a key role in assisting with the investment management, portfolio analysis and wealth planning development and leads the team's advisory trading platform. Alex has managed all aspects of investments and planning for ultra-high net worth individuals and strives to provide white-glove service for all clients. He is adamant about building profound relationships with clients, which he believes is essential to establish proactive client engagement. Alex prides himself on being an attuned listener, a skill that lets him delve into the complexities of clients’ needs; in addition to an innovative and solution-minded partner who is able to marshal the totality of a firm’s resources to further a client’s agenda.
Alex is licensed and registered with the Series 7, 66 and 3 exams and holds the Accredited Portfolio Management AdvisorSM - APMA® and the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM - CRPC® professional designations. Alex received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. He lives in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn with his wife, Joselyn, and son, Gabriel. Alex and Joselyn are members of Congregation Beth Elohim and support organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Young Professionals Committee of NYC, the Baruch College President’s Forum, and the NY Times Neediest Cases Fund. He is an avid cinephile and a lover of both classic and modern racing cars.
Mia began her career as a client administrator in family wealth management at Wilmington Trust, N.A. a subsidiary of M&T bank. Following her time at the private trust company, Mia joined the Meenan Yedid Group at UBS.
Mia supports the team by establishing and cultivating trusting relationships with new and existing clients. This requires assisting in the development and delivery of financial and investment strategies that address each client’s personal, family, and generational wealth goals. Mia also plays a key role in processing client requests, resolving client inquiries, account opening and transfers, and ensuring client information and documentation is kept up to date. Mia is dedicated to delivering clients premier services that address their evolving needs.
Mia graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics. She is currently pursuing her series 7 and series 66 securities license. Outside of work, Mia enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, as well as running, walking, and hiking. Mia is also a 2021 NYC Marathon finisher.
