Barbara is originally from Indiana, but upon receiving a full music scholarship, moved to Memphis where she graduated from Memphis State University. Her initial position in the financial industry was as a retirement specialist at J.C. Bradford's home office in Nashville, Tennessee. After initially focusing on plan administration for corporate qualified retirement plans, Barbara eventually moved to marketing retirement plans to financial advisors. After four years, she left the home office for a position in a branch office. It was here that she discovered her true passion was to work directly with clients, becoming more involved on a personal level and to assist them in every aspect of their financial life.
Barbara is licensed with series 7, 63, 65, as well as the Certified Retirement Planning Counselor designation. She also spent 16 years as a coach for others in her position and was one among the first group at UBS to earn the designation of Wealth Management Associate; all in an attempt to better serve clients. After 12 years with J.C. Bradford & Co and a 10 year period with Merrill Lynch, she moved to UBS Financial Services in 2008.
Barbara and Ryan work very closely in an effort to provide the best overall client experience. It is their desire that their clients will look to them for every financial need and question they may have. With over 30 years experience in the industry, building and maintaining the client relationship is still Barbara's favorite aspect of her career.
When not in the office, Barbara and her husband, Scott enjoy spending time with their family which includes their dog, Gracey; son and daughter-in-law, Austin and Mandy; son and daughter-in-law, Zach and KristyAnn and grandson, Greyson.
