Senior Vice President–Wealth Management
Financial Advisor
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with both a Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration, Matt began his wealth management career as a financial advisor in 2005. Through open and authentic conversations, Matt works with clients to understand their values, passions, financial planning experience, and concerns in order to define personal, family, and business goals. Through a collaborative approach, he crafts comprehensive wealth plans and tailored investment strategies personalized to fit each client's unique set of financial goals and risk tolerances. Helping clients view wealth through their own balance sheet and income statement, he is also keen on the idea of a constructive approach to assets, liabilities, income, and expenses as he analyzes each specific situation.
Education is central to Matt's approach. He believes that a deeper understanding of financial strategies - along with awareness of the psychological side of money - leads to greater confidence, less stress, and better decision making. He's passionate about delivering unexpected value and driven by an insatiable curiosity that keeps him thinking about new ways to help clients thrive.
His non-profit work includes various leadership roles, board involvement, and volunteering with Austin Sunshine Camps, the Young Men's Business League of Austin, Austin Humane Society, Meals on Wheels, and A Better Chance. Having spent nearly all of his life in Austin, Matt, his wife Sarah, and 12 year old twins currently reside in Ridgefield, CT. Outside of work, he enjoys learning, skiing, theatre, music, running, yoga, pilates, following the English Premier League, podcasts, maximizing the value of points/miles currency, spending time with loved ones, and meeting new people.
