As a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate with The Matina Group, Tanya brings over 15 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families with a thoughtful, relationship-driven approach. She combines her technical expertise with genuine care— guiding clients through complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. Her work centers on building enduring relationships, delivering comprehensive financial planning, and helping clients navigate risk, estate, and tax planning strategies with intention and foresight.
Turning possibilities into a plan
Tanya approaches wealth management as both a discipline and a deeply personal endeavor. She partners closely with clients and their families to understand not only their financial picture, but their values, priorities, and long-term vision. From there, she designs tailored strategies that evolve alongside each stage of life.
Her career began in trust administration and estate planning in 1998, laying a strong technical foundation that continues to inform her work today. She later practiced as an attorney specializing in trust and estate planning, providing her with a unique legal perspective that enhances her ability to serve ultra-high-net-worth families (however she does not perform these duties at UBS). Over the past 12 years, she has served as a Relationship Manager and Wealth Strategist, helping clients preserve, grow, and thoughtfully transfer wealth across generations.

Investment management is the core of our business. The Matina Group takes a risk-based approach to building a portfolio; wherever possible giving direct access to the underlying investment. Each client’s portfolio is customized based on a mutual understanding of risk tolerance and goals. As our client, you have access to the full range of UBS products and services at discounted (30 – 70%) fees based upon the product. UBS utilizes an open architecture, which allows us to offer the best thinking and implementation of strategies from a range of third party providers.
The Matina Group draws on our 15-year relationship with KPMG Partners and MDs to build comprehensive solutions that simplify the investment process and make it easy to build a discretionary portfolio.
As just one example, UBS has collaborated with BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, to create customized portfolios utilizing three asset allocation models. This dynamic suite of 16 model portfolios aims to achieve specific objectives, such as increased income for retirement, while managing for key market risks.
Each relationship begins with a no-fee, full-service financial plan, which will incorporate all KPMG retirement plans, outside assets and, most important, the goals that you and your family wish to attain. This can include an in-depth look at your current investments, liabilities, insurance, trust and estate documents, and how they are working to help you pursue your goals.
Once you have established a relationship with our team at UBS, you will have the ability to invest in a broad spectrum of products and have multiple accounts if desired, as well as access to preferential KPMG pricing.
As a Private Wealth Management client, you have access to a source of liquidity for business and personal needs. As part of the suite of discounts for KPMG, credit line utilizations will receive a preferential rate usually reserved for credit lines of $5 million – $10 million.
This rate of 30 day Libor + 200bps is being extended to those who wish to utilize a line of credit on the eligible assets in their UBS portfolio, and represents a significant discount to standard pricing.
*As of June 2, 2015, rates subject to change in the sole discretion of the lender.
As part of KPMG, you can enjoy exclusive access to a dedicated team of Private Wealth Mortgage Specialists.
