Evan Ling was born in Taiwan and earned a Ph.D. in Metallurgy from Georgia Tech. While he started off in engineering, he found his passion in stock investments, and began his new career at Merrill Lynch in 1988. He served as Resident Manager of the Merrill Lynch City of Industry office in the mid 1990s, the firm's first office that focused on serving Asian American and International clientele. He returned to focus primarily on serving clients in the early 2000s. He joined UBS in 2015.
Evan's experience, knowledge, and leadership skills led him to form the Ling Group with his son in 2003. He oversees the team’s operation, and sets the strategic focus and direction. He is a qualified Senior Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks, ETFs, and bonds, as well as model portfolios and strategies.
Evan has been very active in the community serving on various boards, including FAPA, and previously for the Chinatown Service Center, and other non-profit organizations. He enjoys staying active and has completed two marathons. He also enjoys hiking, gardening, tennis, and golf. Evan and his wife, Elena, live in Diamond Bar and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Ben Ling graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Mass Communications and Sociology. After graduation, he attended NTNU’s Mandarin Training Center and worked as a staff assistant for the Office of the Vice President of Taiwan. Prior to joining UBS in 2015, he was with Merrill Lynch since 2003. Ben is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the team. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized strategies. He focuses on multi-generation clients, assisting on investment selection and analyzing their financial situation to develop customized strategies to help meet their goals.
Passionate about helping people, Ben has been active in the community, previously serving as the National Chairman and President for the non-profit organization Taiwanese American Citizen’s League (TACL) and Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP), focusing on helping to mentor and develop the next generation of leaders. He currently serves on the Board of Taiwan Center. He enjoys reading, and staying fit through weight training, tennis, golf, and basketball in his spare time. Ben resides in Yorba Linda with his wife Iris, daughter Shoshana, son Bryson, and 2 dogs Bungie and Millie.

Felix earned his BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley and worked for over 10 years as a software engineer. He then earned an MA in Applied Economics from San Jose State University and worked 7 years in Education Technology as a Subject Matter Expert in Economics and Statistics. He brings a wide set of skills and experiences to the Ling Group, including statistical and economic analysis, data science, and time-series forecasting to assist with portfolio research management and client services. He joined the Ling Group in 2018, and currently resides in La Habra with his wife and 2 sons. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, making music (keyboards, drums, and bass guitar), finding teachable moments, and making people laugh.
Timothy joined the Ling Group in 2014. He has a BS in Business, Economics, and Management from Caltech. He assists with order entry, helps screen investment research for the Portfolio Managers, and serves as the team’s technology specialist and administrative backup. Utilizing the universe of available research in conjunction with UBS’s Guidance, he reviews and monitors the Team's investment portfolios. He is registered through the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and is currently pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as a level 2 candidate. Outside of UBS, Tim is dedicated to the art of continual self-improvement, currently developing skills as a digital artist, writer, barista, and fighting game competitor.
Jaimie is dedicated to providing clients with outstanding service. She draws on her experience in finance since 2019. Previously she was a Retirement Planner and Client Service Associate at Afortus Financial and Private Advisor Group. She joined the Ling group and UBS in 2023. She is responsible for client services and the daily business operations for the team. Her responsibilities include opening and transferring new accounts, providing account maintenance, assisting with online services, and responding to client questions and requests with friendly communication in English and Mandarin. Currently residing in La Habra, Jaimie enjoys learning new recipes, hiking, learning violin, and playing competitive video games.
