Having grown up and raised his family in West Texas, Dan has a network of financial professionals, clients and friends there. He has a deep understanding of the unique needs of wealthy individuals and families involved in the energy industry, from oil and gas company executives to entrepreneurs to land and mineral rights owners. As the “go-to” for many of the team’s larger households, Dan offers valued guidance on all aspects of wealth management, including estate and retirement planning, multigenerational financial planning and wealth transfer strategies.
Dan’s years as a Financial Advisor is testament to his passion for helping multiple generations within families meet the challenges they face in each stage of life. He attributes the experience in his youth working with his father in his property management business for giving him early insights into financial planning and a deep appreciation for the people and community of West Texas. Dan works with corporate retirement plans, as well as endowments and foundations in the community. In addition, he and the team manage 18 nonprofit and foundation funds and he is involved in advising and supporting their boards.
Dan has more than 25 years of experience, most of it with UBS. He started his career with Rauscher Pierce Refsnes in Midland as a financial advisor. In 1999, he accepted an offer to join the Midland office of UBS predecessor firm PaineWebber.
Dan and his wife, Mendy, have two sons, Preston and Joseph. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, farming, ranching, snow skiing and spending time with his extended family.

As a Financial Advisor and the team’s “numbers guy,” Alan works closely with many ultra high net worth entrepreneurs, executives, retirees and families in the West Texas area. With a deep connection to the region and a clear understanding of the unique challenges of the oil and gas industry and mineral rights owners, Alan has a sincere passion for helping his clients solve their financial concerns.
With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Alan began his career on the commercial insurance side. He brings considerable knowledge and experience to his role overseeing money manager due diligence as well as building and maintaining the team’s portfolios. Alan taps the synergies of the entire team to provide specialized advice focused on each client’s finances, family and legacy. In addition, he and the team manage 18 nonprofit and foundation funds.
An avid sports fan, Alan has officiated football for 25 years at the high school and college level. Active with his church, he’s been a Deacon, an Elder and served on mission teams to El Salvador and Guatemala. He and his wife, Kimberly, have two adult children, Kassidy and Dakota. A West Texas native, Alan enjoys an active lifestyle and all sports, including golf, hiking and hunting.

Candy is committed to maintaining strong, personal connections with clients and their families by delivering the highest level of support and service. She coordinates operations and administrative details for the team. What truly sets Candy apart—and distinguishes the whole team—is the personal touch that connects deeply with each client.
Candy joined the Liberty Group and UBS in 2007 after working in the insurance business. She, along with her husband, were both raised in Midland and chose to raise their family there as well. Candy has a strong commitment to the community, especially youth activities, and has served on a number of boards, including baseball, rodeo and local food banks. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, their two sons and daughter-in-law and new granddaughter.

Andrea is committed to delivering the value of “white glove service” to clients while working to help them understand their finances. She especially brings this care to helping clients who have recently experienced a major life event.
Before joining UBS in 2015, Andrea gained 13 years of experience at Merrill Lynch and Raymond James as a Client Service Associate. Raised in Midland, Andrea has deep roots in her community. She has been an active volunteer with Keep Midland Beautiful, High Sky Children’s Ranch, Midland Soccer Association, Meals on Wheels and the West Texas Food Bank Summer Service Program. Andrea enjoys watching the West Texas sunsets, traveling and spending time with her family.

With a passion for finance and the financial services industry, she takes a heartfelt interest in helping clients reach their goals and successfully pave the way for future generations.
Outside of work, Sydney is an accomplished musician who has played with the UTPB Symphony Orchestra. She recently joined the registry for Be The Match, an organization working toward finding a cure for blood cancers and marrow diseases. You can often find Sydney rooting for her daughter, who loves to participate in competitive cheer.
