Leila has been active in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Before joining UBS, she spent five years as a financial advisor at Oppenheimer & Co. and prior to that, she worked for eight years at Lehman Brothers in fixed-income derivative sales and the mortgage group. Early in her career, she gained practical experience as an estimator at Clark Construction Corporation and as a coordinator at the United Nations in New York.
Leila is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at New York University. She hold Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses in addition to licenses for life, health, annuities and long-term care insurance. She attained the designation as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Wharton School of Business, the Wealth Advisor designation from UBS in addition to the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designations.
While Leila is involved with a number of community and charitable organizations, she makes it a priority to stay up-to-date and educated while maintaining her licenses and designations. This continuous process provides her with specific expertise to make sound judgments about resources available and their application.
