Matt began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Investment Manager Research and Analysis Division of Merrill Lynch. He advised a prestigious client base that included members of the Forbes 400, foundations, endowments and pension plans. He has experience in investment management, capital markets transactions and concentrated stock strategies.
Matt graduated with a BA from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School. He earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, sponsored by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®) at the Wharton School. Matt is a regular speaker at national industry conferences on topics such as investment management and business monetization.
While Matt’s technical training is in investment management, his passion lies in the realm of family governance. He prides himself on helping families navigate the challenges and opportunities that accompany substantial wealth. Matt has studied at the Money, Meaning and Choice Institute (MMCI) and studied Bowen Family Systems Theory with Kathy Wiseman. He is experienced in facilitating family meetings, conducting values retreats and addressing complex family-related financial issues that often occur within larger, ultra-high-net-worth families.

Shawn Salge joined the team in 2006 and leads the Portfolio Management pillar of the practice. He designs and implements bespoke portfolios grounded in asset allocation, macroeconomic research, manager due diligence, and risk management. Shawn works closely with clients to align portfolios with their objectives, values, and cash‑flow needs, while executing both strategic and tactical investment decisions.

Stephanie Boehm joined the team in 2012 and leads the Family Advisory pillar of the practice. She works closely with families to address the complexities that come from substantial wealth. Her process focuses on communication, education, and intergenerational transition. Steph facilitates family meetings and developed the team’s What Matters Most Framework, which helps families clarify priorities and make aligned decisions. In addition, Steph also manages the day to day operations of the team to ensure that all members operate cohesively and deliver a consistent, high‑quality client experience.

Fisher is dedicated to ensuring clients’ financial plans evolve alongside changes in their personal and professional lives, helping translate complexity into clear, actionable strategy.

Ellyne Petty joined the team in 2021 and focuses on delivering a high‑touch, seamless client service experience. She supports clients with day‑to‑day service needs, including private banking and administrative coordination, and serves as a trusted point of contact for ongoing requests. Ellyne’s approach ensures clients feel supported, understood, and well cared for at every stage of the relationship.

Viren Mahtani joined the team in 2025 and supports the delivery of a high‑quality experience for clients. He works closely with Shawn to support portfolio research, analysis, and investment‑related initiatives. Viren also assists clients with day‑to‑day requests, including account administration, private banking needs, and coordination with internal teams. He brings a detail‑oriented and proactive approach to managing requests, preparing materials, and ensuring timely follow‑through on client priorities, helping clients feel confident and satisfied in every interaction.
