Pursue what matters most
Understanding your life, your wealth and what you want to accomplish is at the core of our practice. We'll discuss your goals, the people who are most important in your life and your vision for the future. Then we'll help you organize your financial life into three strategies: Liquidity—to help provide cash flow for short-term expenses, Longevity—for longer-term needs and Legacy—for needs that go beyond your own.
Timeframes may vary. Strategies are subject to individual client goals, objectives and suitability. This approach is not a promise or guarantee that wealth, or any financial results, can or will be achieved.
Our mission is to provide quality strategies customized to your needs. Our goal is to be your primary source of financial advice. To this end, we concentrate our efforts on developing long-term relationships through a commitment to quality client service.
Why a thirst for knowledge and love of people are key to sound financial planning
Richard’s career as a financial advisor began on October 19, 1987—Black Monday, the day the market declined 22%. Fast forward 10 years later, and the investors who didn’t panic and sell were now seeing their portfolios grow to more than three times their value from that fateful day. “I have seen firsthand why it is important to never make a long-term decision for short-term reasons,” Richard explains. “Today’s quick information-based society makes people feel they must take radical action now. The reality is, we must plan during good times, review for changes in fact patterns, adapt and focus on the long term.” Richard has helped clients survive the dot-com bubble, the Great Recession and multiple real estate booms and busts. His knowledge has guided clients to make smarter decisions by placing moments of crisis in historical context.
Richard has always been intellectually curious. He loves to learn and is passionate about applying his knowledge of news, politics, business, markets and history to help his clients live better lives, enhance their families and do good in the world. Richard earned the designation as a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) from the Investment and Wealth Institute. Fewer than 2500 advisors in the country hold this distinction as of December 31, 2021. His highly informed, and sometimes unconventional approach, enables clients to make tactical changes to achieve long-term strategic goals.
Making a difference
Richard has served as president of the board of trustees for his synagogue. He is also a past president of the board of directors of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters Association. Richard is proud to have served on the boards of the Cleveland Baseball Federation and Playhouse Square Partners.

A passion for helping others overcome life’s irrational situations
When Larry was just a young boy, his parents took him to Disneyland. They bought him one share of stock and explained that he was now an owner of Disney: “This is America.” Fast forward to today—that original stock was part of the portfolio that helped Larry pay for two houses and his children’s education. Larry continued to pay it forward by gifting stock to his children.
Larry is now a senior member of the Kensington Advisory Group with 35 years of experience and expertise in asset allocation and risk management. He enjoys working with families, helping parents retire securely, as well as getting the next generation on a stable financial footing. This process always begins with listening and educating clients not to act out of fear, but rather to apply rational thought.
Integrity, hard work and a sense of values—always keeping one’s word—have made Larry more than a trusted financial advisor to clients, many consider him a good friend.
Making a difference
Larry is a committed volunteer with Village Project and Sharon Township community service.
Outside the office
Larry and his wife, Ellie, live in Bay Village, OH. They have two children, who have settled in the Rocky Mountains. He and his wife enjoy visiting them out west whether winter or summer. Larry is also an avid golfer.
Supporting the pursuit of true wealth
With a background in banking and lending, Tristan was exposed to a wide range of situations, from individuals struggling to make ends meet to the complexities faced by ultra high net worth clients. This experience helped him realize that people have many different motivations and definitions of true wealth.
Tristan’s role at Kensington Advisory Group is to help clients achieve their goals by managing their emotions in making appropriate financial decisions. He learned early in his career that you can’t find a solution unless you first identify the problem, which sometimes means having difficult conversations with a client about estate planning or asset protection. Tristan looks to protect a client’s current lifestyle as well as ways to help support their dreams.
Tristan’s expertise in lending helps clients find solutions to their sophisticated borrowing needs. He loves working in a team environment and does not hesitate to draw on the knowledge of other Kensington team members to offer clients the best advice for their individual needs. Identifying a solution that the client hasn’t thought of is one of Tristan’s most satisfying moments at work.

Your first call for critical needs
There are some people without whom things wouldn’t get done properly, and Anita is one of these. Anita supports the Kensington Advisory Group with all critical business functions; needing a distribution, to change your beneficiary, to transfer funds, Anita is your one phone call to do this and more. Most often these things are done behind the scenes, smoothly and efficiently while respecting client confidentiality.
With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, Anita has seen her share of market cycles and volatility. Her calming and professional presence gives clients peace of mind in a stress-filled world. Anita says, ”The trust that clients place in us is not something I take lightly.” Anita takes pride in doing her part to help clients achieve their financial goals. Being trusted with the financial well-being of a client’s next generation is an added plus for Anita, who especially enjoys meeting and working with multigenerational families.

From the suburbs of Cleveland, to the farms in southern Ohio, Anita and her husband Adam are now embarking on a new adventure in Lewis Center, Ohio.
We care. We answer the phone. We listen. We take action.
As a former therapist and development executive, Andrea spent most of her previous career in the nonprofit world, where she helped others define, plan and achieve their goals.
After a divorce, she realized how important it was for women—especially single mothers—to be knowledgeable about their finances and to plan for the future. Becoming an advocate for other women to become financially independent, she transitioned into the financial services industry to assist women in making informed decisions to help provide for their children and generations to come.
Andrea’s role at Kensington Advisory Group is to manage every detail of client communications to best serve them on a daily basis. Everything Andrea does is driven by her values: diligence, character, compassion—and most importantly, resilience. “It is important for our clients to be prepared for whatever life brings,” she says.
Outside the office
Originally from Tennessee, Andrea has lived in Ohio since 2014. Her complete focus outside of work is to be a dedicated mother to her two sons, James and Will, who keep her busy with sports and school. Andrea is also involved as a board member of the Youth Football League. In her past career, she spent many years as a champion for mental health. She enjoys football, golf, kayaking, boating and cooking.
