John joined Tom after four seasons of playing professional basketball internationally. John holds both the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.
John is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth's Labovitz School of Business. He holds an MBA as well as a BBA with an emphasis in finance. John earned a scholarship as he competed on UMD's basketball team and as a pitcher on the baseball team. Off the court he was voted the university's Male Scholar Athlete and was also a recipient of All-Conference academic accolades in both sports.
With his experiences in international basketball, John has become an avid traveler. Having lived in Western Australia and Taipei during his playing career, he has continued his travels to 14 additional countries. A native of Bloomington, MN he also enjoys participating in the local offerings of outdoor sports, boating, and snowboarding.
