Post-college, John began his journey of helping tennis players of all abilities enjoy and improve their game, working as a coach with both individuals and high school/college teams. Promising his mother he wouldn't turn 40 on a tennis court, he joined Smith Barney as a trader to learn about the world of investing. In 2000, he joined Schwab as an Investment Specialist, helping investors manage their portfolios. After managing clients through 2 bear markets, he is well aware that performance always takes a back seat to protecting a client's downside, keeping a healthy mix of non-correlating assets to navigate the swings of the markets.
As a Financial Advisor at UBS, he continues to manage his clients' investments, as well as adding the ability to bring lending capabilities, insurance and annuities, and retirement planning. His value is not in performance numbers, but rather in his ability to listen to a client's goals and dreams, and manage them through the daily obstacles of the capital markets to fulfill those dreams.
