J. Mills-Pierre is a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and founding member of Groupe M at UBS Financial Services. He advises high-net-worth individuals and families through a multi-family office approach that blends institutional strength with highly personalized wealth strategies.

With a deep understanding of the opportunities and complexities facing successful families, Mills helps clients deploy capital efficiently across both sides of the balance sheet—preserving wealth, optimizing structures, and aligning investment strategies with personal, philanthropic, and legacy goals. He works closely with UBS’s trust, credit, and estate specialists, as well as external advisors, to coordinate tailored, tax-aware planning across generations. He works alongside independent-minded, socially conscious individuals and families with strong personal and professional mandates.

Mills brings over two decades of experience in both the private and public sectors. Before joining UBS in 2025, he served as a Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch and as Finance Director for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office. He began his career in JPMorgan’s analyst training program and later held leadership roles in equity research at Ladenburg Thalmann.

He earned his B.A. in Architecture and Economics from Yale University and holds an M.Sc. in Economic Development from the London School of Economics.

Outside the office, Mills is a former world-class figure skater and remains committed to mentorship and inclusion in the sport—championing access for the next generation of underrepresented athletes.

Brian serves as a Client Associate working alongside J. Mills-Pierre. Brian is responsible for all operational and administrative items related to the business. Brian is passionate about supporting the team in delivering the best client experience, and he thrives on collaborating with a diverse network of experts to do so.

Prior to his current role, Brian acted as an Advisory Service Specialist at UBS. He empowered the field in navigating complex financial dilemmas and enhancing their ability to achieve client goals with confidence. Brian worked with a dedicated team of professionals to implement tailored financial advisory services. His project management and organizational skills allow him to better field interactions with their clients and execute high-impact advisory solutions that ultimately drive client satisfaction and success. 

With a BA in Finance from The University of Georgia, Brian honed his analytical and problem-solving abilities, which he brings into all engagements.
