I have loved working in the financial industry for almost 30 years, starting with the Irving Trust Company of New York at the corner of Broadway and Wall in Manhattan in 1983 making trade loans to Japanese, Korean and Philippine banks. My career has taken me to London and Tokyo with the Fixed Income Department of Citicorp's Investment Banking business where I worked with some of the world's most sophisticated investors. I have since built my practice at UBS by combining global financial insight with main street values, by insisting that before we invest we have a plan, and that once we are invested we revisit the plan periodically to make sure we are heading in the right direction.
