John began his career as a financial advisor in 2000 with AG Edwards & Sons. He joined UBS in 2014. As the leader of Hatteras Wealth Management Group, John draws on nearly two decades of experience helping affluent families manage their financial futures. He and the team focus on providing holistic wealth planning advice to a select group of successful families, entrepreneurs and executives. Together, the team delivers advanced planning and investment management advice that looks beyond their clients’ portfolios to address each area of their financial lives.

Under John’s leadership, Hatteras Wealth Management Group has developed a highly tailored process called the Family Wealth Navigator. The process helps them deliver clarity, confidence and structure to their clients’ finances as they pursue their most important goals. The result is a first class experience that enables clients to benefit from all of the resources of UBS and insights of the team.

John has served on the Orlando board of the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, and currently serves on the board of the Make an Impact Foundation He is also active with his church, Davidson United Methodist, his daughters’ Y-Guides Indian Princesses tribe and Florida State University alumni association. John enjoys golf and spending time with his wife, Cara and their two daughters, Delaney and Sophie.

Jack primarily focuses on the team’s business development initiatives and serves as their Financial Goal Analysis specialist, ensuring that every decision is made with his clients’ best interests in mind. In addition to these responsibilities, he assists the team in developing comprehensive financial plans for successful executives, entrepreneurs, and families who seek a higher degree of confidence in their financial future.

As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) designee, helping clients reach their goals is his top priority. Jack knows the right questions to ask about your life, your wealth and your hopes for the future. Together, he’ll help you find the answers you need to pursue those goals.

Jack’s experience in the personal financial planning areas of insurance, investments, retirement, estate, and fiduciary responsibility further reinforce his team’s ability to make recommendations. They understand the complexities that come with significant wealth, and strive to provide advice tailored to individual circumstances that are expected and unexpected.

Jack and his wife, Jillian, reside in Charlotte with their two children, Eliza and Pierce. They are active in Waypoint Community Church and love spending time with family and friends in the area. Jack in his spare time enjoys running, reading, working out with F3, and is an avid fan of the English Premier League, South Carolina Gamecocks, and Carolina Panthers.

Hannah is originally from Mooresville, North Carolina and now lives in Charlotte. She enjoys exploring restaurants and local businesses in the city, traveling to visit friends, involvement in her book club, and attending University of South Carolina football games in Columbia, SC.

Abbie is originally from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and resides in Charlotte with her husband, Jason. Outside of work, Abbie cherishes quality time with family and enjoys exploring new destinations through travel.

Wells was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023. Throughout college, Wells worked in the athletic departments at the University of Georgia and University of North Carolina.

He joined the team in 2024 as a Client Associate. He is dedicated to helping our clients with the onboarding process and providing a top-notch client experience. Wells’ draw to financial services was the opportunity to foster long-term relationships, help others, and his enjoyment in following the markets.

After graduation, Wells was part of the Charlotte Fellows program. Charlotte Fellows is a nine-month leadership development program that encompasses faith, service, and work. During the program, he worked in private equity and wealth management. In addition, Wells served at non-profits in the Charlotte community.

Outside of UBS

In his free time, Wells is a member and actively involved at Hope Community Church. He also enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends, and pulling for the UNC Tar Heels and Georgia Bulldogs.
