Prior to UBS he served as Senior Vice President – Investments with Oppenheimer & Co. in Atlanta and as Account Executive with Merrill Lynch & Co in Atlanta. Hugh is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of several professional organizations, including the CFA Institute & the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts. He received his BA in English from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and his M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He also completed the Education for Ministry Program at Sewanee's St. Luke's School of Theology.
