Matt leads the financial planning process for the team, and also serves as portfolio manager—overseeing the evaluation, monitoring and implementation of the team's investment models. Matt is a native of Richmond, Virginia and a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Matt takes great joy in helping clients face and overcome challenges in their personal, business and financial lives. He stays involved in the local community and enjoys participating in philanthropic roles such as Junior Achievement. Matt has also have served in several leadership roles at his church.

Paul brings more than 35 years of successful financial experience to the clients of The Green Odom Group. He provides the leadership and vision for the team and works closely with each client to help them achieve financial independence. He has consistently been named to the top of the list of successful financial advisors throughout the United States. Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and has also attended executive courses at the Wharton School of Business. He holds Series 7, 66, and state life and variable annuity insurance licenses.
Paul enjoys helping clients to better understand the importance of becoming financially independent and takes joy in helping them to achieve it. He is also extremely active in the local community to include serving on the board at the Diocese of Knoxville.
Paul and his wife Pat have been married for more than 35 years. They have three grown children, Daniel, Bradley and Alex, four grandsons, and two granddaughters. When he’s not in the office, Paul is an avid racquetball and handball player and spends time at his horse farm, tending to his grapes, and enjoying his family and friends.
As a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate, Cheryl serves as the Relationship Manager on the team. She leverages her leadership experience from her prior roles as Complex Administrative Manager and Market Supervisory Officer to deliver a high level of service to each client through consistent and thoughtful communication. With over 21 years of experience in working with clients, Cheryl has become passionate about helping clients identify and work through any gaps in their estate plan and coordinating those efforts by partnering with local estate planning attorneys. Cheryl holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and Series 9 & 10 supervisory licenses. She also holds her insurance license for health, life, and variable annuities.
Cheryl is committed to helping clients reach their wealth management goals and loves assisting clients as they maneuver through life's daily challenges. She also enjoys being involved in the local community through volunteering with Junior Achievement.
Cheryl and her husband, Mike, have one teenage son, Connor, three grown daughters, Madison, Morgan, and Kaitlin, two grandchildren, Ansleigh and Hunter, and three dogs. Cheryl loves spending time with her family and dogs and watching her son play baseball.
Mary is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the team. This includes monitoring client and advisor requests to ensure that deadlines are met and associated documentation is complete. Mary also oversees the new client onboarding process and client education on banking and investment services and capabilities. Mary has been in the financial services industry since 1981 and has been a member of the team for more than 35 years. She holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Mary and her husband Gary have been married for more than 40 years. They have two daughters, Alli and Lindsay, and two grandsons, Greyson and Asher. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, playing games and vacationing on the beach in the Gulf of Mexico where she plans to retire.
As a Client Service Associate, Nick will be the first point of contact for many of our clients. This includes communicating with clients about their accounts and financial plans as well as The Green Odom Group’s financial services. Nick is committed to ensuring that all client needs are met and questions are answered and he leverages his past experience in customer and financial services to strengthen client relationships and help our clients achieve their financial goals. Nick has passed the SIE (Securities Industry Essentials®) Exam and holds Series 6 and 63 licenses. He also holds his insurance license for life and health.
Nick is a Knoxville native and a graduate of Transylvania University. During his time at Transylvania, Nick was a member of the Men’s Soccer Team and his passion for the game continues to this day. Outside of the office, Nick can be found playing soccer, hiking, fishing, or cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.
