Our team has extensive experience managing portfolios through volatile market cycles with emphasis on asset allocation and diversification.
These important characteristics to portfolio design can help during unpredictable markets. Asset allocation/diversification neither assures a profit nor protects against loss in declining markets. We are always seeking better ways to manage volatility, reduce unnecessary risk and earn your confidence in our ability to execute the right strategy for your needs and comfort. When necessary, we can recommend a number of specialty lending strategies. Whether for business capital, cash flow or a home mortgage, we can tailor a lending solution to your needs and circumstances, which may include:
Mortgage lending
Credit lines
Art
Aircraft
All mortgage products are only offered by UBS Mortgage. UBS Mortgage is a trade name for UBS AG, Tampa Branch or, in certain states for certain products, UBS Bank USA. All loans are subject to underwriting, credit and property approval. Not all products are available in all states, or for all loan amounts. Other restrictions and limitations may apply. UBS Mortgage currently offers residential mortgage loans within the 50 states of the United States of America and the District of Columbia. Equal housing lender.
Credit and lending services are provided by banking affiliates of UBS Financial Services Inc., and are subject to credit approval.
Led by a partner with more than 20 years of investment experience in the space, our team runs a midstream MLP portfolio with a proven track record.
Energy infrastructure MLPs are engaged in the storage, transportation and processing of natural gas, crude oil and other refined products. Our portfolio can be a stand-alone investment for those looking for opportunity in the energy infrastructure sector. For the majority of our clients, we include it as a diversifier within the total portfolio we manage. Clients enjoy tax-advantaged distributions with equity-like growth potential within a strategy that has low turnover and a low correlation to equities.
We find pipeline MLPs attractive due to:
Toll road business models
History of steadily rising distributions, generally
Built-in inflation hedge
Favorable tax treatment
PMP is a wrap fee advisory program in which our Financial Advisors manage client accounts on a discretionary basis. PMP is designed for clients who (i) want to delegate portfolio management discretion to their Financial Advisor; (ii) are looking to implement a medium to long-term investment plan; and (iii) prefer the consistency of fee-based pricing.
PMP is not appropriate for clients who: (i) want to maintain trading control over their account; (ii) seek a short-term investment; (iii) want to maintain consistently high levels of cash, money market funds, or invest primarily in no-load mutual funds; (iv) want to maintain highly concentrated positions that will not be sold regardless of market conditions; or (v) who anticipate significant withdrawals from the account.

The portfolio will invest in units of Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs). The tax treatment for investors in MLPs is different than that of an investment in stock, including (a) the investor’s share of the MLP’s income, deductions and expenses are reported on Schedule K-1, not Form 1099, (b) because of the possibility of unrelated business taxable income, charitable remainder trusts should not invest in this strategy, and other non-taxable investors (such as ERISA and IRA accounts) should carefully consider whether to invest in this strategy, (c) investors may have to file income tax returns in states in which the MLP’s do business and (d) MLP tax information is sent directly from the partnership which generally has until April 15th to provide this information. You should discuss these and any other tax implications with your tax advisor.
Diversification does not assure a profit or guarantee against loss in declining markets.
