I joined UBS in 2009, but my experience in financial services spans nearly 3 decades, including positions held at EF Hutton, PaineWebber and Wachovia Securities. Prior to entering the financial services industry, I served as a certified business consultant for the medical & dental professions and passed the Enrolled Agents exam which allowed me to practice before the IRS. Over the years, I've focused increasingly on asset allocation and helping clients to manage risk prudently by utilizing specialized portfolio managers and seeking out investment opportunities.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Tusculum College while on a basketball scholarship, earning a B.S in Business Administration. I also completed the Certified Financial Planner and the Certified Investment Management Analyst programs. Originally from East Tennessee, I started my financial services career with EF Hutton in New York City and moved to Raleigh in 1989, where I live with my wife and two children. When I'm not occupied by the activities of my two teenagers, I enjoy the theatre, outdoor activities and sports, especially University of Tennessee football, ACC basketball and the Carolina Hurricanes.
