Dave is a retirement plan consultant and 401(k) advisor dedicated to helping organizations build compliant, high-performing retirement plans that deliver real value to both employers and employees. His mission is simple: empower clients to make confident decisions and achieve long-term retirement success.

With over 15 years of experience in the technology and software sectors, including senior leadership roles in product management and business development at Fortune 500 companies, Dave brings a strategic, business-owner perspective to corporate retirement plan consulting. As a former founder and operator of a technology services firm, he understands the complex challenges facing executives, entrepreneurs, and growing organizations—and applies that insight to every retirement plan strategy he designs.

Dave specializes in the design, management, and optimization of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), DB Cash Balance, NQ Deferred Comp and profit-sharing plans. His expertise spans fiduciary governance, plan benchmarking, investment oversight, fee analysis, and participant outcomes, ensuring retirement plans remain compliant, competitive, and aligned with organizational goals. His disciplined, research-driven approach leverages institutional-level resources to deliver customized retirement plan solutions built for long-term success.

A strong advocate for education and transparency, Dave works closely with plan sponsors, leadership teams, and employees to simplify complex regulations and provide clear, actionable guidance. He ensures employers stay ahead of regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities while helping participants improve financial literacy and make informed retirement decisions—driving higher engagement and stronger employee financial wellness.

Dave joined Merrill Wealth Management in 2011 following a personal recruitment, continuing a multigenerational relationship founded on trust and results, where he built a retirement plan practice from scratch.  In 2022, Dave decided it was time to further his career and joined UBS  Financial Services, Inc.  where he has expanded his role in partnering with numerous advisors at the firm in support of their retirement plan practice.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Oregon State University and is a native of Portland, Oregon. Outside of work, Dave enjoys golf, volleyball, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Originally from Dubai, Shatha is a dedicated traveler who loves discovering new cultures, places, and food. Shatha is a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine, a bit of a fashionista, and is always up for a hike or outdoor activity.
