Pursue what matters most
Where are you today and where do you want to be tomorrow? We recognize that a lasting relationship starts by listening and understanding your priorities and concerns. We'll work together to look at the big picture, discuss your vision for the future and help you confidently pursue your life goals.
Our mission is to provide quality strategies customized to your needs. Our goal is to be your primary source of financial advice. To this end, we concentrate our efforts on developing long-term relationships through a commitment to quality client service.
I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky before attending Indiana University. Post-college I was a cofounder a start-up company in the food processing industry. After working up and down the coast of California and having a successful exit from the business, I moved to Los Angeles and began working in the financial services industry in 2001. Building and selling a business provided me keen insight into all the details associated with creating and keeping wealth.
It’s the important things—our families, our values, the impact we have on others—that connect us. And although making sense of it all can be hard, asking the right questions can make things clearer. So, when we speak, I want to learn about those life questions that are on your mind. “Should I start my own business? Is it better to leave my kids everything? Or nothing? How do I set up a charitable fund? Will my family be ok when I’m gone?” Together, I know we can find the answers.
Whatever your concerns, I can help you create a comprehensive financial plan to address your important priorities. Since 2001, I have put my experience to work for each of my clients, helping them find the best way forward to pursue the goals that truly matter.
In 2016 I relocated my family from Los Angeles to San Francisco and currently live in Fairfax with my wife Sara, daughter, Kariana, son, Ryder and our dog, Otis. I love cooking, hiking, golf, physical fitness and football. In my free time you will find me with my family exploring the outdoors.
Sean has worked in the financial services industry since 2001 at three major Wall Street firms.

As a young adult, I was a competitive tennis player in Southern California. I found great satisfaction in training every day and competing almost every weekend. I obviously loved winning more than losing but it wasn’t until High School that I was able to realize the value of a team and the joy of sharing success with that team. The hard work and leadership it takes, day in and day out, to be successful is what fundamentally translates to the team we have built here at UBS since joining in 2012. We strive to put our clients first and have built the infrastructure to make sure outcomes align with goals.
Prior to the start of my financial career, I received an academic scholarship to attend George Washington University. I arrived in Washington D.C. in August of 2001. Living through 9/11 in D.C. was a formative experience that shaped a lot of my world view. Majoring in finance and international business with a minor in Philosophy has provided me with insight and critical thinking skills to work with a wide array of high net worth and ultra-high net worth families.
Whether you are a business owner, real estate owner, executive or serial entrepreneur with lots of unique needs, my job is to act as a liaison for all the resources UBS has to offer. For our clients there is no “one-size fits all” solution and we’ll work together to make sure your individual and loved one's needs are taken care of.
Outside of the office, I am involved with many non-profit organizations, but I spend most of my resources supporting JBBBSLA. I have been a “big brother” since 2007 and I have been part of the Board of Directors since 2014. When I find the time, I still enjoy tennis and paddle tennis, but I also love golf, snowboarding, and backpacking in the Eastern Sierras.
I live with my wife, Mariko, our son, Kingston, and our dog, Bandit in Venice Beach. On the weekends you’ll typically find us on our bikes around the neighborhood.

Growing up, I always loved any kind of math problem. I found great satisfaction from working through the problem sets knowing at the end I would either be right or wrong. I of course preferred to be more right than wrong but it was black or white – no gray area. As a result, choosing to study electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics at Union College in Schenectady, New York was an easy decision for me. After many nights and weekends in the lab (talking to the circuit board) I realized that I missed people and I'm thrilled I did because the most sophisticated, rewarding problem sets I have ever solved have been with and for my clients.
Whether you are an entrepreneur or venture capitalist who recently sold a company; a newly minted divorcee who gets to rebrand the wealth in your name only; or a dual working couple with growing wealth and lots of moving parts, my job is to make sure your wealth does everything you want it to do. For my clients, I have learned, the right solution is about the return—and also the focus of their wealth. The gray area matters profoundly.
What do you want your wealth to do for you, your family/friends, your community and/or the world?
My husband and I happily live in San Francisco. I run every morning and am currently training for the Berlin Marathon on behalf of Every Mother Counts. I am an avid experimental chef,
adept at baked goods, Asian noodles among many other personal specialties. I'm an advisor to INFORUM, the innovation lab of the Commonwealth Club.

What’s really important to you—today and for the long term? Our approach starts with questions and discussions that can help you organize your financial life into three key dimensions: Liquidity—to help provide cash flow for short-term expenses, Longevity—for longer-term needs and Legacy—for needs that go beyond your own.
Time frames may vary. Strategies are subject to individual client goals, objectives and suitability. This approach is not a promise or guarantee that wealth, or any financial results, can or will be achieved. All investments involve the risk of loss, including the risk of loss of the entire investment.
Our process takes you from the initial stages of exit or succession planning all the way through the transaction close. We develop a personalized strategy to help manage the proceeds and pursue your future financial goals—and life goals after you step away.
Partnering with resources across UBS, including the Global Family Office, the Family Office Services Group as well as our global investment bank, we integrate institutional-level business solutions for family offices. From family governance to business transition, we help bridge the generations to preserve wealth, seize opportunity and create continuity.
When incredible financial opportunities come your way
Despite undisputed success in the sports and entertainment world, many pros still need guidance in the financial world. That’s why we have a team dedicated to providing exceptional advice and guidance to help agents, managers, owners, executives, and professionals see the big picture.
