    Leveraging experience and character
    A cofounder of Coastal Partners, Scott began his wealth management career 30 years ago and has worked with the other founding members since 2009. Within this sophisticated Private Wealth practice, Scott develops and implements customized investment strategies for successful individuals, families and institutions. Scott leverages his cross-industry experience in industrial sales, consumer sales, marketing and financial services to meet the needs of his clients.

    Always focused on the difference wealth management makes in the lives of his clients, Scott works diligently in building relationships and keeping them. He follows three simple rules: Provide clear and honest advice. Never underestimate good character. Clients always come first.

    Past experience
    Scott held senior sales positions at Fortune 500 companies including Owens-Illinois and Anheuser Busch, Inc. Additionally, Scott was a Vice President and General Manager at American Appraisal Associates. Previous wealth management experience includes positions as a Private Wealth Advisor at Sanford C. Bernstein and Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group.

    Life
    Previously, Scott chaired the steering committee for six years for the Alexis De Tocqueville Society at the United Way of Broward County. Scott and his wife were honored by the United Way of Broward County as the 2017 Tocqueville Society Award recipients. Scott is also a supporter of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Broward Health Foundation and Jack and Jill Children’s Center. Scott and his wife, Patti live in Fort Lauderdale.

      With almost two decades of wealth management experience, Chris, a cofounder of Coastal Partners, takes a lead role in establishing and nurturing close relationships with successful individuals, entrepreneurs and families. He brings his extensive portfolio management experience, as well as his expertise in institutional consulting, to client interactions, and is fully focused on delivering solutions that align with a client’s needs and circumstances. From legacy planning and wealth transfer to philanthropic guidance, he and the entire team stand ready to deliver customized solutions that draw on the depth and breadth of UBS’s resources and capabilities.

      As part of a highly integrated team that takes the time to develop deep relationships, Chris prioritizes integrity and clear communication. He understands that being an advisor means being there for the client, no matter how complex the problem, and helping them pursue their goals in a strategic and holistic way.

      Past experience
      Chris started his wealth management career in 2003. Since 2009, he has worked alongside Coastal Partners’ principals, building a highly successful wealth management practice. Prior to joining UBS, Chris was a senior portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group.

      Life
      Outside the office, Chris prioritizes time with his wife and four children. He believes in “doing well by doing good,” which he puts into practice by supporting several local organizations including the Jack and Jill Children’s Center, which helps children reach their full potential through education; the Leonardo da Vinci Society at Museum of Discovery and Science; and HOPE South Florida, a faith-based organization that seeks to address homelessness in the community.

      A cofounder of Coastal Partners, Sean began his wealth management career in 2008 and has worked with the team since 2009. Prior to joining UBS Private Wealth Management, Sean was a portfolio manager with the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch.

      Sean leads the team’s financial planning efforts, working closely with entrepreneurs and their families to create personalized wealth strategies for pursuing their goals. Leveraging his experience, specialized education and the extensive resources of UBS, Sean advises clients on a number of planning issues, including cash flow management, pre-liquidity planning and asset allocation decisions. He believes in taking a collaborative approach with his clients’ other trusted advisors, ensuring each plan is properly implemented.

      A cofounder of Coastal Partners, Scott primarily focuses on business development and pre-liquidity planning within the practice. He works closely with entrepreneurs and business owners, advising them on a wide range of issues including business financing, tailored lending, concentrated equity positions and investment banking services. His goal is to “deliver the firm of UBS” to clients and take a more holistic “enterprise value and net worth” approach to their business enterprises and family affairs.

      Scott is adept at working closely with partners within UBS—including the Global Banking division and the firm’s network of third-party, middle-market boutique investment banks—to connect his clients to the optimal solutions for their needs. For business owners who are contemplating transactions such as private equity partnerships, strategic acquirers and initial public offerings, Scott has the experience and resources to guide them through these complex options and thoughtfully pave the way for successful monetization and exits.

      Past experience
      Scott began his wealth management career in 2009. Prior to joining UBS Private Wealth  Management, Scott was a financial advisor with the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch and spent eight years working in executive search.

      Life
      Scott is actively involved with Nova Southeastern University (NSU), serving on multiple leadership teams and advisory councils. Scott and his wife, Sarah, are members of the NSU Fellows Society and recently became Charter Fellows of the university’s Levan Center of Innovation, which provides programs and services to entrepreneurs throughout Florida and beyond. Scott, Sarah and their three sons live in Fort Lauderdale.
