The Cantrell Reinbold Group is a boutique Private Wealth Management practice supported by the global resources of UBS. With over 40 years of experience, we are a diverse, multi-generational team focused on delivering customized solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients. Our goal is to serve as our clients’ outsourced family office, advising them on any issue that impacts their financial lives. We provide clients with a customized multi-generational plan that integrates tax planning, estate planning, investment management & charitable planning.

Shawn Cantrell brings 25 years of industry experience to his role as a Private Wealth Advisor with The Cantrell Reinbold Group. Throughout his career, Shawn has followed a client‑centric approach that blends advanced planning strategies with deep investment expertise. He leverages the full breadth of UBS resources, including its network of tax, legal, and portfolio specialists, to bring creative opportunities and solutions to the families he works with.
Shawn understands how to build, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial and investment plans that serve address the complex planning needs of his clients. He is known within the team for conveying sophisticated strategies in a clear and effective manner, and he considers it a privilege to thoughtfully steward the transition of capital to future generations.
Shawn has been recognized by Texas Monthly as a Five Star Wealth Manager. His experience includes trust and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and helping clients navigate the complexities associated with the sale of privately held businesses.
Shawn and his wife, Jamie, live in Dallas, Texas and have three children. He serves on the boards of National Food and Beverage and Dallas National Golf Club and is actively involved with the HHT Foundation. Outside the office, Shawn is most often found on the golf course or watching one of his sons play basketball.
Michael strives to become his clients’ first call for advice. That means putting their needs first, encouraging thoughtful dialogue and focusing on collaboration to achieve the best possible outcomes. He is masterful at integrating every aspect of a client’s financial life including asset management, trust and estate planning strategies, family office formation and governance, philanthropy—and, above all, a client’s vision and purpose—to deliver a plan that is truly personal.
His background working with Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals, Domestic and Multi-Jurisdictional Family Offices gives him a unique perspective and the ability to marshal the extensive global resources available via UBS for the benefit of his clients generational needs.
He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received a B.S. in Economics with Financial Applications and a B.A. in Psychology. He also studied global markets at the prestigious Oxford University in the UK.
Michael and his wife Margaret reside in Dallas, TX with their 3 children – Matthew, Henry, and Jane. He enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and giving back to his community.
Melissa has been supporting clients at UBS with their wealth management needs for 8 years. As a Certified Financial Planner for The Cantrell Reinbold Group, she assists families in all phases of life to better prepare for the future by engaging them in her personalized and disciplined financial planning process. Melissa helps clients to get financially organized and to identify what they'd like their wealth to achieve, then provides them with a roadmap and long-term financial plan to help them get there. As life evolves and needs change, Melissa collaborates with our clients to adjust their strategies so that they can enter their next phase with confidence, no matter the environment.
Melissa is from Tucson, AZ and graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in finance, is a CFP® and holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses. Melissa and her husband, Jim, live in Dallas. She enjoys traveling, working out, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

She plays a vital role in building strong client relationships and delivering a seamless, high‑quality service experience for the families that the team serves. Brandi manages all aspects of client service, including account onboarding, operational support, and ongoing account maintenance, ensuring day‑to‑day needs are handled with precision, care, and responsiveness.
With a background as a dental hygienist, Brandi has always thrived in service‑oriented environments and brings that same attention to detail and empathy to her work in wealth management. She is especially skilled at guiding clients through complex processes, helping simplify what can often feel overwhelming. Her goal is to make every client feel supported, valued, and confident in the team behind them.
Brandi lives in Dallas with her husband, Justin, and their two sons. She's an avid chef and her weekends are spent outside at baseball and football games for her kids.

Matthew is an Executive Director and Art Advisory Specialist on the Family Office Solutions (FOS) team within Private Wealth Management. FOS holistically serves $100mm+ clients and family offices in partnership with Private Wealth Advisors. Through the UBS Art Advisory, Matthew partners with UHNW clients of UBS to help them build, manage, and plan for exceptional lasting collections in context of their overall wealth management. Topics of guidance include collecting vision and strategy, navigating the art market, organizing and caring for a collection, and strategic legacy planning. Additionally, Matthew educates Private Wealth Advisors on art and collecting to help them connect meaningfully with clients in their passion asset.
Prior to working in financial services, Matthew developed a decade-plus career in the commercial art world, culminating as Associate Director at Michael Rosenfeld Gallery LLC, New York where he contributed directly to the curatorial vision of gallery exhibitions, directed the global art fair program, managed strategic initiatives including large-scale public commissions, artist estate management, and ambitious museum lending efforts. His integrated hands-on art world experiences provide an array of resources and perspectives in service of comprehensive collecting guidance.
Matthew built the Art Advisory service in the United States to complement UBS’s global commitment to art collecting with a bespoke independent service for top collectors and clients of the firm. It is now a resource for collectors across the country seeking independent support and connectivity to art world leaders, institutions, vendor networks, and other collectors.
Outside of UBS, Matthew is a proud board member of Artadia, a nonprofit grantmaker and nationwide community of visual artists, curators, and patrons.
