William E. James II

Senior Vice President–Wealth Management

Branch Manager

Bill James, founding partner of James, Ford & Duble Wealth Partners, has been a financial advisor for 29 years. Prior to joining UBS, he worked at Merrill Lynch, where he assisted in the training and mentoring of new financial advisors. Before his career as an advisor, Bill worked as an analyst with the United States Department of the Treasury.

Mr. James and his partners have assembled a highly respected team of professionals to effectively serve the complex needs of high-net-worth families, institutions, and government agencies. Bill and his partners advise clients across North America and maintain offices in  New Albany and Marietta, Ohio and Denver, Colorado. He is proud to serve clients and advisors as the Market Director of the New Albany and Marietta offices.

Bill enjoys working with clients. Whether teaching a client's adult grandchild how to use their first 401(k) plan or advising a U.S. Government agency on a complex equity transaction, Bill believes he is most effective by getting to know his clients and actively listening to their concerns and objectives.

Bill also advocates on behalf of clients and the financial services industry as a trustee of UBS's Political Action Committee (PAC).

Bill grew up in rural Jackson, Ohio. He is a Ohio University graduate, where he was a Copeland Scholar in the College of Business. Mr. James and his family are active in their community and church with numerous charitable involvements.  When he is not advising clients, Bill enjoys big game hunting, beekeeping, and reading.

Following one of the toughest years in history for investors, CIO sets its sights on the Year Ahead. Entering what we expect to be a “Year of Inflections,” uncertainty remains high. But for investors with the ability to look through short-term noise, the difficulties of 2022 should make way for longer-term opportunities.
