Ben Ling graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Mass Communications and Sociology. After graduation, he attended NTNU’s Mandarin Training Center and worked as a staff assistant for the Office of the Vice President of Taiwan. Prior to joining UBS in 2015, he was with Merrill Lynch since 2003. Ben is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the team. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized strategies. He focuses on multi-generation clients, assisting on investment selection and analyzing their financial situation to develop customized strategies to help meet their goals.
Passionate about helping people, Ben has been active in the community, previously serving as the National Chairman and President for the non-profit organization Taiwanese American Citizen’s League (TACL) and Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP), focusing on helping to mentor and develop the next generation of leaders. He currently serves on the Board of Taiwan Center. He enjoys reading, and staying fit through weight training, tennis, golf, and basketball in his spare time. Ben resides in Yorba Linda with his wife Iris, daughter Shoshana, son Bryson, and 2 dogs.
