A founding partner of the Baumgarten Dowell Jones Wealth Management group, Cory has 24 years of experience in the investment industry. This includes serving as a senior institutional investment consultant to Fortune 100 companies, advising some of the world’s largest corporations—including Microsoft, Ford Motor, Hewlett-Packard, Apple and Verizon Communications—on their equity compensation plans, retirement plans and investment strategies. He explains, “This experience shaped my knowledge of asset allocation and investment manager selection, which allows me to assist our team in building our recommended investment positioning and evaluating the investment managers in our portfolio strategies.”
Cory also served as a regional head of an advanced planning group for a major Wall Street investment firm where he was involved in hundreds of business transactions, complex estate planning situations and exposed to sophisticated tax planning strategies. In addition, Cory has more than a decade of experience advising high net worth individuals and families. He understands how to build, implement and monitor financial and investment plans to improve client outcomes and conveys these plans simply and effectively. He considers it a privilege to help clients prudently grow their wealth and ultimately steward the transition of their capital to subsequent generations. He is passionate about helping others and enjoys mentoring new associates and advisors and serving his community through various volunteer and nonprofit board positions.
As a child, Cory would accompany his father in trading stocks and bonds at his local brokerage firm. His knowledge of financial assets and investments at a young age shaped his future. Still a student of the markets with strong intellectual curiosity, Cory believes in lifetime learning and is heavily engaged with the tax and legal community to enhance his knowledge of tax and estate planning techniques that can benefit clients.

Chad Jones began his wealth management career in New York before relocating back to his home state of Texas. His expertise includes providing innovative strategic direction around investment needs, income taxation, estate planning, wealth transfer planning, risk management, executive compensation, and charitable giving.

As Vice President and Financial Advisor on the Baumgarten Dowell Jones Wealth Management team, Katie treats clients as if they were her own family through superior service, prompt response time and thoughtful advice. She finds herself engrained in clients’ lives well beyond asset management and finds joy in helping them uncover their goals and meet them those over time. She believes that financial plans are not meant to be static and revisits them with her clients at least once a year.

Since sixth grade, Aubrey aspired to be a surgeon. However, by the time she graduated from UCLA with a degree in biology, her interest had shifted and she began working at UBS in Irvine, CA, as a Client Service Associate. Today, as a Wealth Strategy Associate on the Baumgarten Dowell Jones Wealth Management team in Dallas, Aubrey may not be diagnosing and operating on patients like she had planned, but she is helping people improve their financial health.
When Aubrey first started at UBS, she says she was astounded by how little she had been taught about money and investing throughout her life and even in school. But with the organizational and analytical skills she honed during college, she caught on quickly and realized just how important financial literacy is. Aubrey worked at UBS in Wilmington, NC, where she and her fiancé relocated to support his service in the Marine Corps. They eventually moved to Dallas.
Today, Aubrey is integral to the team’s operations and administration as well as the creation of wealth strategies for their clients. She is grateful to be able to tap into the team’s wealth of knowledge to help educate clients and guide them to a solution.
