With more than 20 years of industry experience, Michael has built a reputation as a trusted advisor, able to simplify his clients’ lives, allowing them to focus on activities they enjoy. Prior to joining UBS in 2009, he began his career at Smith Barney monitoring internal branch operations activities and then transitioned to building a career in financial planning. Impressively, he entered college early at 16 years old, and then at 18 was accepted into the Smith Barney Financial Advisor Training Program, making him the youngest person accepted up to that point. Michael earned the UBS IMCA Wealth Advisor designation awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association ("IMCA®).
In addition to his role on the Ballard Meyer Wealth Management Group, Michael is the Director and Branch Manger of the combined Utah business which consists of Salt Lake City, Park City and Ogden offices.
Michael resides in South Ogden with his wife, Amber, and their three sons. They are very social and enjoy spending time with their friends and family. Michael embraces the “work hard, play harder” philosophy, and his favorite pastimes include golfing, swimming, skiing and traveling. He also understands the importance of improving his local community and currently serves the Intermountain Hospital McKay Dee Foundation as a Board Member and as a Co-Chair of Community and Business Development as well as Chair of the Shadow Valley Elementary School community council.
