12 Questions Ahead for the New Year.

In an updated report by UBS Chief Investment Office, our goal is to help you lay the foundation for protecting yourself against market downturns by attempting to answer three questions:
1) What are the characteristics of a bear market?
2) How can we prepare our portfolios and financial plans for a downturn?
3) What steps should we take in the middle of a bear market?

Equity markets remain volatile amid concerns over slowing growth and the ongoing war in Ukraine, with investor sentiment shifting quickly on fresh information. But we think the current environment offers an opportunity to assess whether portfolios are well-designed and fully diversified.

Hear from Andy Burish, Managing Director of our strategic partner, The Burish Group, on his views on deglobalization and its effects on inflation.

We think it has become increasingly important for investors to consider exposure to private markets. In our view, private markets offer a combination of high potential returns, a long-term focus, and access to innovative and fast-growing businesses.

Understanding your values and what you want to accomplish in life is essential to how we work together at UBS. Investing is a deeply personal undertaking, which is why we always start with a discussion about what’s really important to you. This helps us shape your wealth strategy around three key dimensions of your financial life: Liquidity, Longevity, and Legacy.

Private markets offer a combination of potentially better risk-adjusted returns over public markets, a long-term focus, and access to innovative and fast-growing businesses. They can provide differentiated investment opportunities when combined with a traditional public markets portfolio.
Our mission is to provide quality strategies customized to your needs. Our goal is to be your primary source of financial advice. To this end, we concentrate our efforts on developing long-term relationships through a commitment to quality client service.
