Bob started in the financial services industry in 1979, with early stints at Merrill Lynch and Prudential Securities. A pivotal change was the move to Dean Witter Reynolds in 1991 which allowed him to begin to manage portfolios on a discretionary basis, rare for the retail brokerage industry in that time period. A move to Smith Barney in 1995 offered participation in a much more sophisticated Portfolio Management program, as well as 14 years as a branch manager for the company. The purchase of Smith Barney by Morgan Stanley prompted a moveto UBS Financial Services in 2012. Bob carries the title of Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS. He has extensive training in portfolio construction and management, retirement planning, as well as family office management and estate planning. Bob attended Wharton Undergraduate, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of the financial world, Bob is involved in auto racing, acting as management advisor to a road racing series based in the eastern USA as well as an active professional driver in that series. He also continues to play organized league ice hockey in the winter and tries to play golf during the summer.
