Bob started in the financial services industry in 1979, with early stints at Merrill Lynch and Prudential Securities. A pivotal change was the move to Dean Witter Reynolds in 1991 which allowed him to begin to manage portfolios on a discretionary basis, rare for the retail brokerage industry in that time period. A move to Smith Barney in 1995 offered participation in a much more sophisticated Portfolio Management program, as well as 14 years as a branch manager for the company. The purchase of Smith Barney by Morgan Stanley prompted a moveto UBS Financial Services in 2012. Bob carries the title of Senior Portfolio Manager at UBS. He has extensive training in portfolio construction and management, retirement planning, as well as family office management and estate planning. Bob attended Wharton Undergraduate, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of the financial world, Bob is involved in auto racing, acting as management advisor to a road racing series based in the eastern USA as well as an active professional driver in that series. He also continues to play organized league ice hockey in the winter and tries to play golf during the summer.
Ralph Lemme has been in the investment advisory business for over 25 years. He began his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President Senior Financial Advisor. In 2004, Ralph moved his practice to Smith Barney becoming Vice President Wealth Management. While at Smith Barney, Ralph attained the Portfolio Manager designation which is awarded to a select group of investment professional who have met higher levels of educational and investment experience standards. He joined Albany Wealth Management Group in 2014 as Portfolio Manager and Vice President Wealth Management.
In 2003, Ralph completed the program requirements for the Certified Financial Planner designation. The requirements for becoming a CFP are time consuming and rigorous. Certificants must meet and maintain high standards in education, examination, experience and ethics. In fact less than 20% of practicing financial advisors in the industry can claim this distinction.
Ralph's wealth management practice is focused on working with a select group of successful families, business owners and professionals. He firmly believes that a comprehensive planning based approach is the most effective way for clients to achieve their financial goals.
He currently is a board member of the Weare C. Little Memorial Park Association and has served on committees for both Cub and Boy Scouts in the Fort Orange District. Ralph has also been active as assistant coach for the North Colonie Youth Baseball Association. He is a lifelong resident of the capital district and currently lives in Loudonville with his wife and two children.

Are you ready for a retirement that could span 30 years or more? What’s the right plan to help make sure your retirement funds last? The longer you spend in retirement, the greater the impact these decisions can have. Our team will work with you to help preserve your lifestyle and livelihood in retirement by understanding your goals, risk and time horizon.
What’s really important to you—today and for the long term? Our approach starts with questions and discussions that can help you organize your financial life into three key dimensions: Liquidity—to help provide cash flow for short-term expenses, Longevity—for longer-term needs and Legacy—for needs that go beyond your own.
Time frames may vary. Strategies are subject to individual client goals, objectives and suitability. This approach is not a promise or guarantee that wealth, or any financial results, can or will be achieved. All investments involve the risk of loss, including the risk of loss of the entire investment.
Talking about future financial responsibility can be an emotional and challenging topic for both parents and children. Whether you’re discussing an inheritance, insurance, a business transition or wealth transfer, an open, honest discussion among family members makes the process more rewarding for everyone. Let us show you how.
For needs that go beyond your own—to help you improve the lives of others
What will your legacy be?
It’s never too early to plan ahead. A Legacy strategy can help you gain more control over your financial future and what you leave behind, so you can move forward with confidence.
