He provides tailored financial solutions for credit unions, private organizations, families, and individuals, drawing on the global capabilities and resources of UBS. His areas of focus include investment portfolio management, institutional cash management, personal financial planning, estate and trust planning, insurance strategies, charitable gifting, and retirement income planning.
James is committed to delivering thoughtful guidance, exceptional service, and long-term value to his clients. He works closely with each client to understand their unique goals and help them make informed financial decisions with confidence.
James lives in Gillette, New Jersey, with his wife and their five children — four daughters and a son. In his free time, he enjoys golf and staying active.
Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Justin spent several years at UBS as an analyst partnering with Financial Advisors and their clients on financial planning, asset allocation, and investment management. His CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®™) and Wealth Advisor designations help provide guidance with some of the more complex aspects of our clients lives.
Justin is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), specializing in guiding Business Owners through the various options available to them when seeking liquidity from their business. He understands the uniqueness of each Business Owner’s experience and will walk them through each stage, from initial planning conversations through execution of a liquidity event. Justin will also bring in the appropriate resources to help support each business owner with growing value in their business, transitioning their business and reviewing all available exit / liquidity options.
Justin works with both internal and external partners to coordinate important planning (investment, tax, estate, philanthropy, insurance, liability, etc.) for our clients. Having spent almost 20 years at UBS, his focus is on optimizing the tax efficiency within our clients’ financial lives along with aligning their financial plan with what matters most to them individually and as a family for generations to come.
Justin is passionate about helping others improve their lives through his work with clients and various philanthropic endeavors. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University and lives in Basking Ridge, NJ with his wife Missy and their sons Tommy and Danny.
Prior to joining the UBS Ridge Financial Group, Matt spent his time as a Financial Advisor for UBS at the Wealth Advice Center. During his time there, Matt consistently worked with clients, offering valuable insights and support in many different areas. Upon joining the Ridge Financial Group, Ryan has continued delivering advice and guidance to individual clients, but has broadened out to the institutional side as well, where he assists credit unions in portfolio management and fixed income cash management. Ryan has a deep passion for building relationships, as he understands wealth management is an ongoing and evolving relationship that is built on trust and responsiveness, and strives to use his skills and knowledge to assist clients in achieving their financial goals.
Ryan graduated from Villanova School of Business. He currently resides in Hoboken, NJ, where in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, traveling, and golfing.
Chris joined the team in 2012 as a registered client service associate. He also brings a strong background in branch technology, and is a key individual in technology updates and enhancements to the Warren branch. Chris lives in West New York, NJ with his wife Ana, and their three children.
John’s role with Ridge Financial Group at UBS is to assist with business development, marketing, operations, reporting, and portfolio analysis. He has been with UBS since 2019, working in similar capacities with teams primarily serving financial institutions. Previously, John spent three years at Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor from 2016 to 2019. Before making the transition to finance in 2016, he spent the majority of his career in the private sector in various entrepreneurial roles, including owning and operating several closely-held companies.
John received his bachelor’s degree in general studies from Cornell University in 1999. At Cornell, he was a member of the varsity football team and a four time All-Ivy selection and an All-American in 1998. He was inducted into the Cornell University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
Marisel began her career at UBS Financial Services in 2008 and has over 12 years of experience. She joined The Tantleff Group in 2020 and brings her knowledge, dedication, and exceptional client services skills to the team. She is a seasoned professional who continues her commitment to understanding each client need and provides resolutions. Her tailored approach to each situation enables her to provide clarity and confidence and maintain strong client relationship.
Marisel resides in New Jersey with her son Jonathan, Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
Vera is a Senior Client Service Associate handling all administrative and operational needs along with a variety of other areas for our clients. Vera has been with UBS since 2002 holding various roles at the firm during her tenure, including a number of positions in operations, new accounts and her most recent roles as Branch Technology Liaison and Client Service Associate. Her prior knowledge and experience in those areas allow her to effectively help our clients in a variety of ways. Her vast experience and her attention to detail has proven invaluable to our clients. Vera lives in Cedar Knolls with her husband Taras and their two sons Nicholas and Lukas.
